Post by Catherine "Pidge" Santorini on Jul 7, 2018 22:37:59 GMT
"Ugh… Honestly, does this even warrant so much anger? It’s just a club. I mean, maybe she shouldn’t have tried to start it here, but woman’s really making such a big deal out of it… Does she think everyone’s gonna bail on her or something?""Her husband did." Pidge simply responded to the redhead's quip, then snorted, hoping that it would bring at least a little bit of levity to this strange situation. She quickly apologized, after realizing that it wouldn't have added anything. "I'm sorry. That was really poor taste." If Katie could be perfectly honest with herself, empathy wasn't one of her strongest qualities. If someone had made that exact same joke regarding her dad, she would have definitely gotten a few weeks of suspension.
Feeling a little embarrassed, she picked up her backpack and made her way a couple of rows back from everyone. She needed a little bit of space for a while.

"Her husband did."Eesh.The comment was so unexpected, she let out a small snort of surprise. That was actually a good one… until the girl’s expression suddenly fell. "I'm sorry." she apologized, embarrassed "That was really poor taste."Before long, she’d grabbed her things and left, leaving behind a very uneasy Misha. She was probably right, the comment was out of place, but she couldn’t help but find it kind of… humourous. And it was not technically a lie. Unsure how to react, Misha rubbed her hands together as to wash away the awkwardness of the situation and turned her attention back to Naya. The woman was very busy getting one last petting out of Copper, which had the redhead relax and smile, amused by how cheerful and straightforward she could be with cute animals… until she felt two arms wrap around her.
Misha tensed. She wasn’t used to this kind of affection; one thing was playfully touching and nudging people, another was being cuddled out of nowhere. One was initiating contact, and another was… receiving it. The most surprising form of touch she’d get was Alex, and she was used to him. Glancing towards the face of her attacker, Misha felt her nerves loosen up a bit. Oh, so it was just Andrei. That was fine, she liked Andrei. He was cute, he was nice, and, apparently, a hugger. She could deal with that. Gently, she raised one arm to tap the man’s shoulder as he squeezed her before letting her go.
– It’s alright. Fly from this house of angst with both your lives while you still can.
With a smile and a wave, she watched as the janitor took his pet outside, as Naya regained her composure, her favourite good boy now out of sight. The woman had turned her attention back to her as well, as she answered her previous question. Her comment had caused quite a reaction, for her cheeks were now turning a bright red, and Misha raised an eyebrow at that entertaining sight. Apparently, Naya was easy to please. She smiled.
– Well, if need be, I can always doll you up. I think I’ve proven my worth as a professional stylist. – she winked at the girl, referring to Ryan’s beautiful painted lips. It was probably better to start laughing about it as soon as possible, before it turned into a sore memory.
She became quiet as she felt Naya’s studying eyes on her. The girl seemed to be thinking about something as she looked her up and down, causing Misha to feel curious in return. Though Naya was a sweet, gentle soul… well, she was a sweet, gentle soul, and that was a little hard for her to follow sometimes. She was never sure where to stand with people like her, unlike others like Alex where you knew that whatever you said or did wouldn’t be taken wrong, as hardcore might it be. And now, she was being observed. What was the deal with that? "How are you feeling?"The question took her off guard. She’d been so serious before asking it, that Misha had been starting to expect something heavy, but it was the exact opposite. Is she just worried about me? She wondered, now observing her in return. It could very well be, Naya was a sweetheart, as hard as it was for her to admit it sometimes. Feeling slightly embarrassed, Misha shook her head as if to shake away her friend’s anxiety.
– Oh, don’t worry, I’m fine. I kind of want to punch Ryan, but that’ll come in due time. – she shrugged, before looking back at her friend with a small smile – Alex can take a hit, and I’m never one to say no to a good show. – Even though I could have lived without that one. – T’was kind of intense, but it’s cool. I've seen worse.
She wasn’t fully lying; talking to Alex about the situation, as vague might it have been, had helped her feel better; though she had to admit that Naya’s concern, while making her feel a little shy, was also… nice. It was a shame she had some troubles handling “nice” sometimes. If anything, she was more worried about her well-being, even if she’d never tell her that. The situation had been enough to make her cry, after all, and despite knowing that different people had different reactions to conflict (Naya wept, Misha talked back), she still hadn’t meant for even more people to be affected by her little prank.
– So… – her mind was racing, trying to grasp on any good idea. What kind of things made Naya feel better? Damn it, where’s Emery when you need her? She glanced at the side: whatever was happening between her, Kairi and Peyton had been moved to another location. Just my luck. – Are you… excited about the play? – She dreaded having to actually talk about this subject, considering how little interest she had in arts and how much she wanted to just flee this place and consider the day over, but Naya was into it, hopefully it would help.
As the girls talked, Misha perceived someone approaching them from the corner of her eyes, and soon, Nancy was at their side, quick to address her with a smile. At her question, the redhead waved her hand in a “it’s cool” manner as she continued to listen, curious.
– I have something at 6h30, so it’ll have to be another day; maybe the next one, if that’s cool for you? – she offered, not willing to give up another shift of work after having ruthlessly wasted this one; not that she was going to say it. Not many people knew about her night job and she didn’t want the info to spread and eventually get to her parents – they were equally uncaring as they could be a pain in her ass, and she had no idea what reaction they’d have to this. Nor did she want to find out. – Did something happen, though? You’ve never rescheduled anything before.
Which was a good reason not to be bitchy about it; but it still made her wonder, what kind of things would have someone like Nancy, who somehow tried to make all her plans fit in 24 hours without leaving anyone behind, suddenly change things last minute like this? Her eyes darted back to the small girl from earlier. She was pretty sure that she’d seen her hang out with Nancy earlier… and her strange reaction was still on her mind. Maybe…. – Say, do you know who that is? – she asked her tutor, pointing at the younger student.

Almost immediately after Al had pointed out the wagging canine in front of them, Andrei was running forward towards the group. And soon enough, Copper had also spotted his master and barreled into him in a series of happy laughter and kisses. The sight caused a lighthearted laugh to instantly escape the raven-haired's lips as he watched the touching reunion from his spot by the door. Meanwhile Misha had wandered off too, leaving him alone as he continued to try and keep the swelling in his cheek down. But Al didn't mind too much; he was just glad to see a smile on Andrei's face again now that he had his furry friend back.
And thank God too, he thought warmly as he watched his pal's previously depressed mood instantly lighten as Copper wagged his tail happily in response.
After a few moments of many licks and cuddles amid thankful comments had passed, Andrei stood up and walked over towards him, clapping him on the back as he shook his hand. "Thank you once again, man," he said as the raven-haired gave him a friendly pat on the shoulder back. "Both of you, for real!"
"Hey, what kind of friends would we be if we let two of our closest buds down?" he replied in a lighthearted tone as he gestured towards the happy dog next to them before squatting down to give the pupper a few good playful shakes himself. Laughing as he received a few licks back, he pet Copper one final time and stood back up to face Andrei again. "Honestly though, it's probably the drama club who deserves the thanks. But I always got your back, man," he assured him in a more serious tone, a sincere smile on his face. "And speaking of which, I think it's about time we hung out again. You look like you could use a breather."
Giving the two one last pat (and pet) on the back, Al watched as Andrei walked over towards where Misha was to give her a hug. Though he soon became distracted by the feeling of someone else watching him, and after looking over across the auditorium, he noticed it was Emery currently walking over towards an empty area in the room with Kairi and Peyton in tow... and all while shooting him her familiar "don't let anyone come over here" look.
Well that's... interesting, he thought as he met Em's eyes with a surprised and intrigued expression. As far as he knew, his sister didn't really hang out with the drama club's resident gang fighter... And not with the two of them and Peyton together. But considering how worked up Miss Kick-Ass looked just moments before, he figured stranger things had already happened. Plus he already had too many other things to worry about himself to be bothered much by whatever conversation Em wanted to have with them.
"Got it," Al replied silently back by sending a discreet wink in her direction. Turning towards where Copper and Andrei were heading towards the doors to the auditorium, he stopped long enough to give them a quick goodbye before wandering farther into the room until he was positioned in between where his sister was and the rest of the drama club members were. And then, stopping to pull up an empty chair sitting nearby, he leaned back in his seat and propped his feet up on the back of another to act as a subtle barrier of sorts in case anyone decided to wander over or try and join the conversation.
In all honesty, he had no idea what Em wanted to talk about with both Peyton and Kairi. But he knew it had to be either a very important topic or a very personal one if she was asking for him to watch their backs for 'em. And in that way, he didn't mind too much; there wasn't anything he wanted to do anyway except go home. But judging by how on edge everyone was over Miss Kishi, he guessed it probably wouldn't be a wise idea to try and skip out a second time. Dammit...
Continuing to keep the coke pressed against his cheek, the raven-haired tried to relax for whatever time he had left before the Wicked Witch came back. If he honestly could, he probably would have fallen asleep right there. But instead, he began to pick up on a few conversations happening around him while his brown eyes drifted across the room. From the sound of it, the main topic of discussion in the room was Heathers. And judging from the pile of scripts he could vaguely see stacked near Nerissa's bag, he could guess it was probably the chosen musical their missing drama instructor had called them all in to announce for the Halloween production.
'Heathers' huh? he wondered as leaned back, his brows knit together slightly in thought. So that was the play Miss Kishi wanted them to do?
In truth, he had caught on to a few details about the musical over the years thanks to Em and her sleepovers. But he had never paid much attention to the subject or the songs; it just really wasn't his kind of thing. So the extent of his knowledge of characters only ranged from three chicks with the same first name to a wanna-be 'extra Heather' and a guy who was apparently addicted to slushies and murder... all of which--to be perfectly honest--bored the raven-haired more than excited him. But at least I won't be performing in it, he thought as he hid an amused grin behind his hand holding the can of coke to his face. Good luck, drama kids...

Naomi returned to auditorium without Phillip and Tristan, and she had no idea what was going on. All she smelled was wet dog, but dogs weren't allowed in the school. 'That's strange...' she wondered, but had to forgot that quickly after she saw Nerissa and started to make her way to her. Lot of people had become their own "groups" and continued their chit-chats. Naomi couldn't see Amanda anywhere, maybe she had left after Ms. K made her appearance, that lady knew how to scare people. "Hah, I think I chose the wrong time to return the pencils to art class." she giggled when she arrived next to Nerissa. Naomi noticed Nerissa was handling a punch of papers.
"Ohmygash! Is that THE script for our new play?" Without even asking she checked the first page of it and saw the big letters HEATHERS. "That's a wonderful musical - only liked two or three of the songs, but its still cool." Naomi returned the first page to Nerissa. "Heathers will not be challenging for tech team, only have to add some echo to ghost-Heather" she mumbled to herself.
"But hey, how furious Ms. K was, like from 0 to 10?" Naomi asked and waited for an answer. She took her tech list from the pocket and started to check it in her mind while listening Nerissa. Naomi also noticed that Pidge had made her way to back of the room. 'I should probably show the list to her also, but mayyybe later...'

(OCC: I might edit this later cause I came home from camp yesterday and I’ don’t exactly remember who Jamie has to respond to so I’m just writing down what I remember.)
The girl smiled at Nancy’s answer. She really is talented and completely deserved to be recognized. Jamie found out the puppy’s name was Copper and Andrei was his owner. Aww too bad. If he was a stray she would’ve taken him home. A bit later the owner actually arrived and was very thrilled that his pupper was okay. Jamie scratched behind Copper’s ear as a goodbye. She thencaught a few words of the current topic. Heathers. Jamie thought that it was a great musical, maybe a bit too edgy for her taste but the songs in it were fantastic. The girl wasn’t the worst singer, but not the best either. More on the average side. Her acting was definitely her bigger strength. She was thinking about who she would play. Maybe Heather McNamara. She seemed cute and Jamie could probably relate to her the most, but basically any character would’ve been nice.
She was about to share her thoughts but her only company, Kairi left her to confront Peyton about her scar, which Jamie was also curious about but Emery stepped in and very clearly stated that the conversation was to be had between just the three of them, and not soon after they went into a farther part of the auditorium and Alex sat down near them acting as a sort of barrier. Well, she figured if he has nothing else to do, might as well go up and say hi.
“Hey Al!” she sat down next to him on the floor “You took quite the hit back there, but I knew you would be okay. Plus you can’t really do anything against the principal's son can you?” she chuckled. “Anyways…"the brunette continued after a bit of silence"you know what the girls might be talking about?” she nodded her head towards them. The rage on Kairi’s face didn’t comfort the girl one bit.

Naya nodded as Misha replied, confirming that she was alright but also that she wanted to punch Ryan, which was understandable.
“Well, I’m glad you’re alright. It was all a bit dramatic back there,” she gave a soft laugh, “But I’m glad you’re feeling better.”
“So... are you excited about the play?” Misha questioned.
“Of course! I love Heathers, I can’t believe we’re doing it!” Naya could have said more, but she sensed Misha wasn’t quite as enthusiastic as she was, and fair enough, musical theatre wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Before she could change the subject to something more Misha-friendly, however, she was interrupted by Nancy coming over, asking to change the time of their tutoring. Naya shot her a smile. She was followed by Esmeralda, who asked what came up to make Nancy cancel, a question echoed by Misha. To be honest, Naya wanted to know what was up too, Nancy had never seemed like the sort to cancel anything, she was practically superwoman! Maybe something to do with her TV appearance, she guessed?
As as they talked, she played with her hands, mentally coming up with what to say to Misha next once the whole tutoring situation was sorted. She didn’t want to make things super awkward as she feared she had before; she almost felt the need to impress her in a way. After all, Misha was friends with Al and Emery, and she was nice and making an effort. Naya waited patiently, listening to the conversation.

"Hey Al!"
Al looked up to see Jamie coming over towards him and instantly gave her a friendly grin back. "Hey Flour Girl," he replied teasingly as he stretched his hand out towards her for a fist bump. It had been a while since they first officially met, but it had been too wild of an introduction to ever forget and he couldn't help but tease her occasionally about it. After all, it's not everyday you become friends with someone after shooting a flour hurricane at them in front of the entire drama department. And while it had been a bit rough in the very beginning with many awkward apologies thrown in, they had quickly made up and became fast friends.
Which of course meant they could laugh and joke about it between the two of them as much as they wanted--or well, more so said for the raven-haired than the brunette.
"You took quite the hit back there," Jamie continued as she sat down on the floor next to him, causing the raven-haired to smirk back, "but I knew you would be okay. Plus you can't really do anything against the principal's son can you?"
Al let out a short laugh in response at the same time she chuckled, his brown eyes lit up mischievously. "Glad to know you have such confidence in me," he said as he gave her a playful look, though appreciating the sentiment all the same. "Guy's lucky he caught me off guard, cause I totally would have kicked his ass." Or well... gotten a few good swings in at least, he finished as an inner thought before letting out a final animated breath.
Leaning back in his chair, he shifted his gaze towards where Em was and then back over at Jamie, only to see she was looking in the same direction he was. "You know what the girls might be talking about?" she asked after a moment, indicating with her head over towards where Em, Kairi, and Peyton stood chatting.
"No idea," Al replied as he shifted his gaze over towards the strange trio as well, one of his eyebrows raised in a curious manner. "Looks like Em has a few words for them though." He let out a quiet laugh as he pointed towards where Peyton and Kairi were getting lectured by his sister, who humorously enough was standing in between the two at quite a distance shorter than either of them. Knowing how tiny yet ferocious she could be, he couldn't help but smile in amusement while being thankful it wasn't him on the receiving end of her lectures.
Suddenly an idea popped into his head, causing his mouth to widen in a playful grin. "We could try to guess what they're saying," he suggested in a mischievous tone, a smirk played on his lips. Studying the three girls with his brown eyes, he leaned forward in his chair so that his elbows rested on top of his knees and watched as Peyton started snapping back towards Kairi, the latter looking like she was ready to shank a bitch. "'How dare you suggest pineapple doesn't go on pizza!'" he teased in a higher-pitched voice as he tried to mimic Peyton, his volume only loud enough for Jamie to hear. "'This is flat-crust level blasphemy, I tell you! A complete-!'"
Al froze immediately, his words caught mid-sentence as from his position away from the group, he could vaguely make out Peyton suddenly open up her shirt for a split second towards Kairi. The unexpected action was quick, barely even noticeable to be honest. But thanks to the timing and the fact he was already looking that way, the sudden flash wasn't missed, causing the raven-haired to stare blankly at the scene in front of him while being unsure how to even react. Of course, he couldn't see anything (thankfully) due to the distance as well as the angle since she had her back towards him and anyone standing nearby. But he hadn't been expecting one of the club members to flash someone, let alone Peyton of all people.
Well damn, you get it, girl, he thought as an amused laugh escaped his lips. He figured it was bound to happen eventually being in drama class, if anything due to the amount of costume changes that would happen for their play... even though that wasn't supposed to happen until a bit further down the road when they were actually rehearsing the damn musical. And hey, he had to give the girl props; he didn't peg Peyton to be so daring and he had to say he was impressed by that level of confidence. But when he noticed Kairi's demeanor stiffen as if shocked or stunned while Peyton seemed to continue talking, he immediately stopped while a wave of confusion settled in.
Kairi's afraid of boobs?
He wasn't sure if the thought was humorous or just downright weird. And in truth, he still wasn't sure what she was thinking; only that Peyton seemed to have stunned her. And while getting a Superman pulled on you was a pretty normal thing to shock ya with, it wasn't something he'd ever coin Kairi being affected by that much, even more so when she was the same girl Al was sure would kick his ass to Timbuktu and back without so much as a second glance if he ever acted up. But yet from the way Miss Purple-streaks' body language seemed to suddenly go from rampage-fury to stunned in a matter of seconds, he couldn't help but wonder and be massively confused by it.
"Now that's a reaction I didn't expect," he muttered under his breath as he averted his gaze, suddenly feeling like he was intruding on something he definitely shouldn't. Clearing his throat, he looked towards Jamie instead, hoping to relieve some of the awkwardness. "So uh...," he began, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly, "do you like pineapples on pizza?"

Which Al?

Post by Alejandra Ramirez on Jul 10, 2018 5:10:26 GMT
Of all the ridiculous things this girl could say, the supposed difference between a vasectomy and genital mutilation took the fucking cake. "Uh no. The difference is one is a surgical procedure and the other is straight up cutting up his dick." And frankly she still didn't get why Nerissa wanted to defend a scumbag like Zak. Guys like him objectified girls like it was his god given right to or something and probably would keep doing it for the rest of his life.
The fact she tried to justify her remarks, to try and act like what she said hadn't totally been rascist bull shit only pissed Al off more. "Like fuck you didn't try to do just that!" she snapped, her temper rising higher. She scoffed at the bullshit line about how she was just trying to give advice. "Oh yeah that was totally advice. You were fucking scolding me for standing up against being objectified and telling me I can't say what I did. That's not advice. That's an order. And all he got was a slap on the wrist second thought from you!" she stated, eyes burning with the rage within her. "And another thing-"
Before she could even think to finish that thought, Peyton was suddenly between them and telling them to stop.
Al lifted up her hands, palms flat, as she took a step back to show she wasn't about to be some physical threat. She had a hell of a lot more to say to that privileged snobby control freak, but she knew better than to get Peyton upset. It took a lot of guts for her to just rush into the middle of a heated argument and Al wasn't about to snap at her for it or ignore her concern. I've wasted enough of my breath on Nerissa anyway. she thought, turning around and stomping towards where she left the bag of dog treats. Somehow copper hadn't noticed it and so it was still intact.
She grabbed it and placed it back into her bag, her head turning as she took notice of other Al, Misha and Andrei coming into the room. Shortly after Copper was rushing to his owner, who was rushing towards him, and a happy reunion was made. It made the corners of her lips witch to a smile, but the fornw returned as she looked at her male counterpart while he walked off to a different area as the custodian and his dog left. The Latina made her way over to him, nodding to Jamie who was by him.
"Yo Idiota." she said, folding her arms over her chest. "You forget how to text or did you feel like not letting anyone know you were on your way to get the dog?"

After what felt like hours even if it was only a few minutes, Phillip eventually got back to the Auditorium along with Tristan. As they arrived however there were two things obvious. A) Ms K apparently was gone again and B) there was quite a mess happening and everyone seemed busy either with themselves or their friends. Therefore he sent short text to Naomi before he left again and took Tristan once again with him.
Text to Naomi:
Hey Naomi, if Ms K comes back, could you help me and Tristan out and tell her we had an emergency and had to leave early? As you might have seen he is currently quite a mess so I will try to give him a time out. Thx!

Stupid little bitch.
The woman walked down the corridor, her heels striking the tiles with authority. Veronica has finally calmed down from their little "talk" with the "traitor" and was ready to get back to work. They've already lost so much precious time! As always, she's opened the doors to the auditorium loudly making her presence. "Let's get started!" her voice echoed from the walls themselves, growing louder, almost as if she could make everything tremble before her. Wait a minute...
Veronica furrowed her eyebrows, feeling her legs quake beneath her. "What the he-" In panic, she rushed towards Nancy, grabbing her hand. There was no doubt they are in the middle of an earthquake?! But why HERE? Why NOW? "Everybody stay calm!" she called to her students' attention, trying to keep her own mind under the control. "Follow m-" sadly she couldn't finish her speech; her eyes opened wide, as she saw a floodlight falling down right on one of her students and cutting her skull in half. "ELLIE!" she screamed, her hands clasped to her face in horror. Before she could react and actually do something useful, Veronica felt how the floor disappeared from under the feet. "NANCY!" she yelled, hugging her niece tightly, tears streaming down her cheeks. She, her students... They were falling!
She didn't know if they survive the impact. She didn't even have a chance to think about it. Everything just went to black. [OFF-TOP: You can leave one last post before your character gets knocked out.]

“You’re gonna bring that up every time we meet, aren’t you?” she laughed. Their meeting was definitely unusual but it bonded the two in a way. "Glad to know you have such confidence in me," he said as he gave her a playful look "Guy's lucky he caught me off guard, cause I totally would have kicked his ass."“I know you would have and I’m glad you didn’t” she said in a more serious tone. She cared for Al. They shared an intimate moment after the flour incident and Jamie just wanted the best for her friend. The conversation went back to the girls now. Jamie was happy to hear that Al had no idea what they were talking about. The brunette heard Kairi asking about some scar but she didn’t know what kind of scar. She never saw Peyton with any scar."Looks like Em has a few words for them though." yeah.. it looked like his sister was really lecturing them.
“We could try to guess what they're saying," the boy suggested with a playful smirk. At first Jamie wasn’t sure. It isn’t a very nice thing after all.. but as soon as Al started mimicking Peyton the girl lost it. She was laughing so hard, but then the raven-haired stopped. He was still staring at the girl’s direction. “What?” Jamie asked..no answer. “What’s going on?” the girl asked again and she now stood up from the ground, just at the moment when Al turned his head back to her. She was looking at her friend and she saw… tears… crawling down her face.
"So uh...,"the raven-haired began "do you like pineapples on pizza?" Jamie was shocked. She had never seen her cry. She didn’t think she would ever see the girl cry. “Hold on…” she replied “is… is Kairi… crying?” she said but now she was certain. As she was about to rush over there to comfort here friend however the earth began to shake, and she fell down on the floor before she could take another step. Jamie heard Miss Kishi’s voice, but didn’t know what she was saying. “AL- AL!! HELP!” she yelled but before she could get an answer everything went black...

Post by Nancy Holmes on Jul 10, 2018 14:36:50 GMT
I have something at 6h30, so it’ll have to be another day; maybe the next one, if that’s cool for you? "Oh, yes, of course!", she said and pulled out her phone. She opened her calendar and swiped to the next day. "What time would be good for you? I could squeeze you in at 4? Or if you prefer, before school at 7 or in the evening at 8?", she suggested a few. It would be stressfull, but she could do it. Thank god for the time-buffers she always planned in.
Did something happen, though? You’ve never rescheduled anything before. A little nervous, Nancy put her hair behind her ear and put her phone back into the pocket in her skirt. "I know, uhm...." If she was honest, she didn't want to tell them what made her change plans. It was nothing she wanted to talk about, actually she hadn't told anyone at all. It wasn't anyone's business, but she didn't want to be rude, especially after Misha deserved an explanation. But the others? No. Still one hand in her pocket, she squeezed her phone. Should she just tell them a lie? Nancy's thoughts raced, but she couldn't think of something believable. She should maybe practise some lying... was there any course one could take to properly learn it? Her train of thoughts drivted more and more away from Misha's original question, but was brought back by her next.
Say, do you know who that is?
Nancy blinked, now coming back to here and now, and followed Misha's gesture, thankful for the change of topic. She had seen Pidge leave Misha and Naya earlier, so she was probably talking about her. "Mh? You mean the girl with the glasses? That's Pidge, she's a member of the tech crew", she explained in a friendly tone. But the girls looked at her again, obviously waiting for an explanation. Before she could open her mouth again, Esmeralda joined their group too.
"What came up that made you change your mind? Hopefully nothing serious." Nancy looked over to her. "Oh hey, Esme! Uhhh..." The same question again. Damn it. Now that someone she didn't really know at all besides her name had shown up too, she was certain she couldn't tell. She really should've told Misha alone, she was the only one who deserved an answer. It was probably better to just not say anything about it, every lie would be found out eventually anyways. "Well, I can't really-", she started, but was interrupted by her aunt coming into the auditorium again.
"Let's get started!" Phew!!! God bless her for coming back right in this moment! She looked over to the door and smiled at her aunt. She didn't look so good... Nancy wanted to walk over to her, when the ground started to shake. "Wha-?", she exclaimed and tried to hold her balance by wildly waggling with her arms, but it couldn't be helped. She fell forward, landing on her knees and hands.
"Follow m- ELLIE!" She heard a loud crashing-noise, followed by her aunt screaming and Nancy looked into the direction of it. What she saw was the most horrifying thing she had ever witnessed: One of the floodlights had fallen down on Ellie, now stuck in the head of the girl who was falling dead on the ground. Nancy's eyes widened in horror, but she couldn't make a noise. She tried to get up, but fell down again, everyone else was on the ground too and were protecting their heads. The floor below them was cracking up, huge holes appeared and people started to fall into them.
"NANCY!" Veronica was suddenly right next to her and pulled her against her to protect her. Nancy burried her hands into her aunt's clothes, still not able to say anything, not even scream. They had to get out- they- It was too late. Before She could move towards the entrance to maybe escape, she and her aunt slided down a huge piece of floor, right into a black nothing. Now she finally screamed, she tried to cling to the edge of the floor-plate, but her hand slipped and she fell into the darkness, squeezing her eyes with the thought that this might be her end.

After checking her phone for the messages and turning around she saw Naomi approach. Nerissa put on a smile. "Oh that is where you were? Good thing I sent you a text then. Miss Kishi looked really angry and I wouldn't want her to turn that anger on you."
She noticed Naomi turn her attention to the scripts. "Oh, yes... I am not that into musicals so I do not know this one well... at all." She explained looking over her friends shoulder as she flipped through them. "I fear the song birds of this club are going to fight tooth and nail for the parts again." She was not looking forward to that. She took the scripts back and placed it on the pile.
"Hmm... I would say about 10. She went straight after Amanda and didn't even bother scolding any of us before she stormed out." Which in her mind was a bad thing. Poor Amanda, having all that rage directed at her. "I just hope she manages to cool down before she finds Amanda. The poor girl doesn't need to be scolded like that."
Suddenly she jumped as Miss Kishi entered back to the room with a bang. Why did she insist on banging the doors? Did she enjoy torturing the one who would eventually have to fix them? But before anything could get started the ground began to shake. Nerissa could feel her balance waver as the tremors became more violent. Quickly she grabbed her bag and Naomi's arm as she begun to look for a place to shelter from the falling things. She put the bag over her head to shield herself from falling objects when she heard Miss Kishi scream someone's name. She looked behind and saw Ellie had been hit by a lamp. Poor girl. Nerissa focused on getting herself and Naomi to safety before suddenly she felt her foot get caught in a crack on the floor, sending both her and Naomi face first to the floor knocking them out.

Post by Misha Charisse Quinn on Jul 10, 2018 15:43:52 GMT
Misha was a little surprised by Naya’s underwhelmed reaction. She’d expected the girl to be more excited, and though she obviously was, she seemed to be restraining herself. Not that Misha could figure out any reason why. What was even more surprising was Nancy obviously avoiding her question. She’d answered her about Pidge at least, and the redhead made a mental note of the information, but she was clearly trying to find something to bail. The two weren’t exactly close, but she was surprised that a girl like her would be… not “lying” about her reasons, but still refusing to tell the truth, and the fact that another person was now pushing her to answer as well seemed to be causing her even more anxiety. If anything, it had Misha raise a curious eyebrow, as she could notice from the corner of her eyes Naya’s thoughtful expression. What was up with everybody today? Did they just want to make the day even worse? Damn, I wish this would just all END. "Let's get started!"Fucking finally.
If she hadn’t disliked her so god damn much, Misha would have hugged her. At the very least they could actually get this done and go back home now. Even her entrance seemed dramatic, with the majestic door opening, the voice, the shaking… … ? Misha looked down towards the floor. Was this just her or was the ground…? No, it was probably just her. Why would there be an earthquake now? Ridiculous. Probably some… device that could make the ground shake for their play. Yeah that seemed about right.
– Wow, the special effects are killing it this year. – she remarked to no one in particular. She hadn’t been part of the club in previous years, but she was pretty sure past plays didn’t include this kind of tricks.
As the shaking got worse, Misha started getting a LITTLE worried, even more as she noticed others fret as well, even members of the tech crew who should definitely know about this kind of things. For a second she considered that they might just be fucking with the rest of them for laughs, but… "Everybody stay calm!"… she was pretty sure their director wasn’t. Before she could consider any viable options, Misha heard more screams, along with a loud cracking sound that caused her to turn around. She immediately regretted doing it, for all that welcomed her was the sight of one of her fellow students with her brain matter now covering the auditorium’s floor under her crushed body.
– Oh fuck. – she let out two sole words in a hushed whisper of horror. This couldn’t just be special effects, it couldn’t be a joke. She was the master prankster and even she would never pull this off. No, this was for real.
Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck fuck FUCKThe sight of miss Kishi rushing in front of her to hug her niece seemed to bring her out of her confused state; looking around, she tried to think of a way out as she could feel a ball form in her throat as dread starting overwhelming her. She remembered hearing in a documentary once that the doors were the strongest parts of a room, and the last to crumble. If it was true, she had no time to waste. Absent-mindedly, Misha grabbed one of Naya’s hands and, without giving her time to react, started running in the door’s direction. Her thoughts were going fast as well, as she caught herself wondering if Copper and Andrei had made it out of the building and (stupidly enough, though she’d later blame in on her panic) if her bar was going to get destroyed and force her to find a new job. She was looking for something else, however, and finally, her eyes found what she wanted: Alex, next to flour-girl. Quickly, she called out to him.
– ALEX! THE DOO-- – before she could utter another word, she felt the ground disintegrate under her feet, a wave of pain and confusion and, soon enough, everything was dark.

This was getting messier by the second; everything just.. collapsed, before she could respond to Zak, she spotted things falling and shoved him out of the way attempting to get him moved, but she was unable , they ALL seemed to fall. She had seen peices coming down right for him, and reacted, her own frame alert.those big eyes she had looked scared, her frame too fell down when the ground melted benithe her heels, her hand trying to grab at what she could- a pipe?- it too broke. "ZA---'' Bang. some-thing hit her head before she could even see that another student was dead...sending her into the darkness.
Rebecca was unconcious... a lop of black hair fell around her body, she still held the broken pipe.Crusty.old, but still useful after all these years, well until the earthquake.Rebeccas unconsiousness heard screams, loud yelling, and than..silence.
