Nancy put a hand on her forehead. There was this feeling again, this weird drunk and puzzling dizziness - luckily she was already sitting on the ground. She couldn't bare it, so she closed her eyes for a moment and when she opened them again, the feeling ebbed away. Did she magically change the room again..? It was the same feeling she had always had if that was the case. She looked around. Alex was gone. And she wasn't in the computer lab anymore, but in some classroom. She sighed. For how long would this go on...? She didn't have the strength to fight this anymore, she just wanted it to end. It felt terrible to be played with just like this and she couldn't do anything against it. It was like she was a puppet and someone she couldn't see played her strings. Where was her own will? She wondered... if she just accepted everything and play along, would she eventually get out of here...? Or wouldn't it make any difference? Someone.... tell me what to do.... I'm so lost.....
She got up and went over to the window. She was on the upper floor, from what she could see. Besides that.....darkness. As usual. Would she never see the light of day again...? She closed her heavy eyes and let her head sink against the cold glass. If this would go on further, she would starve anyways. A human body could live two weeks without food...at least she had water....how much time had passed...? It felt like forever, but it was probably only a few days...?

What..happened..., Katherine tried to think clearly. She woke up quite restless and her head hurt a lot. Again?, she touched her head and remembered that she had just woken up in the headmaster's office and no one was there to help her. Was she alone in the school? Why would she become unconscious at one place and wake up feeling horrible in another. Her emotions were just as confusing as all that was happening or rather not happening. All of a sudden Katherine heard someone walking around, not talking but just walking. "Hello?", she called impatiently, "Whoever is here - What in the hell is going on?! My head..." Was it smart to just call someone loud? Probably not. Especially since Katherine didn't know what was going on. Maybe someone attacked her and killed all the other? Maybe everyone was in a different room. But how would they change them all magical? It was too confusing and since Katherine was certeinly not a fan of confusing things, she stayed direct and focused. "Answer me. And while doing, bring me something against that headache." Then she saw her, just as she turned around. Nancy. A bright smile came across Katherine's face. "OMG, Nancy! You are here and you are...fine? Come here, Nanc!", Katherine shouted lovingly over to Nancy.

"Hello? .... Answer me. And while doing, bring me something against that headache." She knew that voice.... and that demanding tone... Was that really...? She slowly turned around only to see the thin, model-like figure of Katherine Drake standing in the door. What the hell was she doing here...? She hadn't been in the auditorium, had she..? Maybe she was in a different room then and fell into this nightmare, too.... She smiled brightly and ran over to her, pulling her into a hug. If she could still smile liek this, she couldn't be here for long...
"OMG, Nancy! You are here and you are...fine? Come here, Nanc!" Weakly, she hugged her back and let her head sink against the older woman's shoulder. "Kat....? Why are you here....?", she mumbled into her skin. She shouldn't be here... she was such an important person, a celebrity - she couldn't end up here and die. It didn't matter if Nancy would die here, she was a nobody. But Kat was different, tons of people loved her...!

Katherine held her former protégée tight as they were hugging each other. "Nancy...", Katherine mumbled back calmly. It wasn't difficult to tell that something was not right with Nancy. Her weak hugging and her expression in general. "I came to school to have a final talk with Truman, now that the workshop is over", Katherine explained objectively, "But then...I don't know what happened. I woke up in her office and then.. here. It is all too blurry." Carefully Katherine released Nancy from the hug, but held the girl's shoulders with her hand and looked her directly in the eyes. "Nancy, what happened here? To you? Were you asleep like me? Or did something happen?". Guiding Nancy to a chair, Katherine said down on a chair right next to her, so that she could still hold her. "Tell me everything. I am here for you okay? If anyone hurt you..They're gonna wish that they've never been born. And I won't leave you again.", Katherine told the girl calmly and couldn't hide a touch of guilt towards the end. She did leave her and probably hurt her. An innocent girl.

Naya paused outside the door, seeing Nancy and Kat’s touching reunion. After her special party- she was still reeling, it was even better than she’d hoped!- she’d found herself in the corridor, with nobody else in sight. It seemed, however, that she’d managed to stumble upon a happy reunion. Lovely. It didn’t look like Emery was in this room, which was a shame, but also an opportunity. She only hoped her bestie would be able to keep her mouth shut about their little... arrangement.
Eventually, Naya got bored of merely watching, and instead chose to enter the room, but not before squeezing her eyes tightly and thinking of dead puppies. Hopefully her teary eyes might attract some attention. She was an actress like that.

Post by Catherine "Pidge" Santorini on Aug 24, 2018 3:41:52 GMT
Pidge woke up, startled by a dream she had. It seemed as if her mind replayed the moment in the auditorium for moments on end. She slammed a fist onto the wall again and breathed heavily. "They were kids!" She yelled under her breath as she stood up some more. Catherine glanced down at the bat that was still next to her. She didn't really care about the potential weapon that she had carried around before. "They didn't deserve that... Neither did Jamie..."
She stepped back a little bit, trying to recuperate from the latest experience. A few familiar faces calmed her nerves a tiny bit. There was Nancy, Naya, Mrs. Kishi, and... "It's you!" Pidge pointed to the black-haired woman who was over by Nancy. The famous Katherine Drake... singer extraordinaire, former Maverick alum, and the one person who made her reconsider being a part of the tech team. "Miss Drake. For now, can we let bygones be bygones. I'm not in the mood to argue." She didn't say anything more though.
She scurried towards the teacher's desk and rifled through some files. Hopefully she could find something that could ease her nerves, or have her forget what happened in the auditorium.
[OOC: Pidge made a perception check]

She nodded at her explanation. What bad luck... or luck, considering she hadn't seen any gruesome things. It seemed like she hadn't gotten any messages either. Now that she thought about it, it had been awfully quiet around that mysterious person. On the other hand... it had probably been occupied with torturing Alex and... whoever had been with him. She didn't even know. She sighed. Maybe it was for the better that she didn't know... Kat released her from the warm, family-like hug.
"Nancy, what happened here? To you? Were you asleep like me? Or did something happen?". "It's ... I don't know... No, I wasn't asleep. I...I can't explain what's happening here, I just know that... there is someone or something, that... is watching us.", she said and a cold shiver ran down her spine. Like there was actually some evil thing watching them at the very moment. She hadn't had this strong feeling so far. Unsure of her surroundings, she carefully looked around the room.
Then, Nancy's head snapped towards the door as another person came in. "Naya", she exclaimed and looked almost happy. In all honesty, she was glad to see her. Hopefully Misha was okay too. "I'm glad you're fine. Did you see Misha? I haven't seen any of you after we all fell through the floor..." She got up on her weak knees and walked over to her, giving the girl a light hug. Somehow she transformed from a person who tried to stay away from everyone to a person who hugged everyone she saw. Thanks, Alex., she thought dryly. But to be honest, she preferred that version of herself. She let go of Naya after a second and looked into her face. "Have you cried? What happened?", she asked concerned. She didn't know Naya well enough to tell anything weird.
While she was talking to Naya, Pidge entered the room aswell. It was so good to see another person being alright. She seemed to be... very traumatized. "Pidge..? What happened? Who didn't deserve what? What-" she swallowed "What happened to Jamie?" She felt how her blood froze in her veins. Had she also been mutilated? The raven haired watched as the tech-girl passed her and Naya and went straight for Kat. B-bygoners? She didn't stay long with her though and instead went for the teacher's desk and searched through it. She had always been quirrly, but... Something was wrong. Who could blame her though, in this place. "Is there anything?", she asked. She was sure she had searched through that desk too - oh. Did she? She didn't even know which classroom this was.

Katherine listened closely to what Nancy was telling her, even though there was barely any helpful information at all. Really fitting, Katherine thought annoyed. However she knew that it was probably hard for the poor girl. She must've witnessed something horrible, seeming quite broken in spirit. Eventually, the girl gave Katherine somewhat of a hint of what was going on. "There is someone or something, that... is watching us." Worried Katherine raised an eyebrow and whispered: "something?", to herself. "Nancy, sweet girl. I know it is hard, but you have to be strong and tell me-..", before Katherine could finish her sentence some girl crashed the "party" and walked into the room. Her eyes seemed teary and Nancy immediately ran, or rather crept, to the other girl. Apparently her name was "Naya".
Katherine watched the scene of the two girls closely and didn't even think about hiding her disinterested facial expression. She didn't like girls who had to show that they were sad or in need, especially if they were disturbing a conversation. Not pitying her at all, Katherine put her hand on her waist and kept on looking and listening, occaisionally rolling her eyes. But maybe at least the sad girl would give some helpful information.
"It's you!", some slightly familiar voice shouted. Katherine sighed as she turned around to where the voice was coming from. It was that girl that almost ruined that "freakin'" workshop with her inability. "Well hello, as if there wasn't enough confu-", Katherine was interrupted by the bubbly girl. "Miss Drake. For now, can we let bygones be bygones. I'm not in the mood to argue." An amused expression and smirk spread across Katherine's face. This little bitch.. , Katherine thought laughing quietly. "Don't worry. I am actually only interested to know what the fuck is going on here. And if someone could say anything helpful - it would be really nice.", Katherine said and with her usual hip-swinging walk she went back to sit on a chair.

Dice result: 1D10 => 8 Success; you found an item!
Iside the teacher's desk, Pidge was able to find a tiny creepy little voodoo doll. It was a rag doll with no special features besides a ripped nametag that was stitched to it, it stated - "VERONICA". The moment Pidge has touched the doll, she felt better, safe, like somebody warped her in a warm blanket trying to protect from this dark and cruel world. At the same moment Nancy has noticed that her nose started bleeding.
Item: a voodoo doll [+1 sanity per use, drains -1 health point from the random person from the item-holder's group]
Pidge restored 1 sanity point. Nancy lost 1 health point.

Why was Nancy hugging her? Naya wondered, trying not to let her face betray her confusion to the other woman in the room. They were never particularly close before, and all this concern was rather weird.
"I'm glad you're fine. Did you see Misha? I haven't seen any of you after we all fell through the floor..."
"I was with her for a while, then we talked through the wall for a little bit," Naya answered, deciding not to mention how she saw her at the birthday party. Nancy didn't need to know the fun Naya had been having since they'd last seen each other.
She was relieved when Nancy let her go, "Have you cried? What happened?"
"I did for a while, but I'm fine now. A few people died." Keeping up the sad facade was proving to be difficult. She wouldn't have done it if she'd have known that Nancy would hug her.
Luckily, Pidge entered the room, distracting Nancy. Good. Naya wasn't sure she could handle any more depressing small talk or fake concern. She didn't need coddling. Her interest was piqued, however, when Pidge opened the teacher's desk draw and took out... a doll? How interesting. Whatever it was clearly caused a reaction from Nancy, as her nose began to bleed. Naya wondered whether it would be of any use to get her hands on that doll, but decided against it. It wasn't like she needed it, anyway.

"Pidge..? What happened? Who didn't deserve what? What- What happened to Jamie?"
She shook hearing Nancy's voice call for her. Her being intrigued about the whole situation felt rather odd to the techie. If Catherine could be honest, the only time they probably spoke to each other before this was their conversation in the the auditorium before the whole earthquake and murders scenario began. Pidge swallowed some of her spit, and a bit of her pride, and began to speak. "Jamie's dead, Nancy," She failed to make eye contact with Mrs. Kishi's niece, "a lot of people are! The new girl... Polaris, I think. Another freshman! Sig..."
People are gonna think you're crazy, Pidge, so you'd better stop talking...
"I'm not paranoid... I'm not crazy... I SWEAR TO GOD! I'M NOT LYING TO YOU!" Pidge stood up and squeezed the thing she found in the cabinet. It was a tiny doll with Ms. Kishi's name on it. The moment her fingers made contact with the fabric, a rush of comfort came over her... The memories of the tea party were still there, but her paranoia seemed to disappear entirely... until she finally made eye contact with Nancy, whose nose started to bleed. That couldn't have been a coincidence. "Nancy! It's okay... lean forward and pinch your nose. If you lean back, it can get into your sinuses. Hopefully it'll stop soon..."

As soon as Nancy asked what happened to Jamie, Pidge's face changed, and Naya could tell she was clearly agitated.
"Jamie's dead," Pidge announced, "A lot of people are! The new girl... Polaris, I think. Another freshman! Sig..."
Oh, Nancy would not be too happy about Sig being dead. He was part of their little... friendship group, as far as Naya could recall. Tragic that a member had been culled, but it was bound to happen eventually. She pretended to act surprised, nevertheless. Nobody needed to know about her role in their little birthday party.
"How terrible!" she gasped, "Kairi died too... Andrei... perhaps a few others. Who knows by now how many tragedies have occurred?" And how many would occur in the future.
"Oh Nancy," Naya continued as Pidge tended to Nancy's bloody nose, "I hope you're okay. I know how much Sig meant to you. I hope your friends are okay."

Nancy breathed in and out - shaking, but she did it. Kat needed to know in what a nightmare she had stumbled into. It took a minute, before the raven haired finally spoke, clinging to Kat‘s arm like an anchor. „Something... or someone .. is sending us weird texts with tasks we have to do and if we refuse, we die...!“, she managed to control her voice barely. „It’s..I... I heard that Andrei died, he works at the school, because of that. I don’t know if there are more... I didn’t hear from more people, I hope they’re just... doing it. It’s...“, she sighed, the weight of what she had done being heavy on her shoulders. „Sometimes it’s just weird things like saying something out loud or touching someone.. but sometimes it means hurting people. Kat, I..... I hurt one of my best friends because I was so afraid of dying... I feel so terrible, but at the same time I don’t know what I could’ve done better to keep both of us alive.“, she admitted. She looked on the floor, ashamed, not able to meet the gaze of her number one rolemodel. She would think she was so weak for just doing whatever a weird message told her to do. When Naya came in, Nancy was actually happy she could occupy her mind with something else. Helping someone else would make the weight on her shoulder lighter, right...? She was so selfish.
She nodded at Naya’s reply. So Misha seemed to be alright, that was good! „....A few people died." The slight hint of a smile on Nancy‘s lips died. „A few people...?“, she repeated. Oh no... nonononono please let her friends and aunt be alright..! „Who...? Who else besides Andrei...?“, she asked, but before Naya could answer, Pidge came into the room.
"Jamie's dead, Nancy," Her eyes widened. Jamie was.... She pressed a hand on her mouth in shock. So there WERE more. Oh, Jamie... sweet little innocent cinnamon roll. She hadn’t deserved this. She was tempted to ask how she died but did she really wanna know? Probably not. She didn’t need any image of that poor girl in her last moment. Her face came into her mind, laughing, next to dear Tristan. What kind of cruel world was this...? Where a young girl who had all her life in front of her had to die in a horrific place like this?
But Pidge wasn’t finished yet.
"A lot of people are! The new girl... Polaris, I think. Another freshman! Sig..." Polaris..? She had been even younger than Jam- Her hand sunk down a few centimeters.
Sig
Wait, what? Had she heard that right? „S-Sig...?“, she stuttered. No. That wasn’t possible. Not Sig, please, no..! She stared at Pidge, slowly shaking her head. No. He couldn’t be dead. He couldn’t. He mustn’t!! She had thought her eyes had run dry, but she was wrong. She felt how uncontrollable tears ran down her cheeks as her heart ached, so much that she had to grab onto her uniform right above it. She didn’t want to believe it, she shook her head, refusing to accept it, repeatedly saying ‚no‘ to herself - but in her heart she knew it was true. She just... felt it. A missing connection, an emptiness on the other side of the string that was between her and her best male friend. She remembered that he had been unconscious after the fall - but she had only seen him for a few minutes. He was alive, he was fine... and now... she would never see his angelic face again, never hear his voice again, never gossip and laugh and have lunch together with him. Never rock the dancefloor again with him or just... be with him. Never... never.... that word echoed in her mind.
Pidge screamed something about being not crazy and not lying, but Nancy couldn’t focus on her right now. Or anything. Anything but the pain. The unbearable pain she was feeling. And just like her heart was bleeding not only inside her, but also towards the outside, her nose started to bleed all over sudden. She didn’t even notice at first, she thought it was just snot from crying, but when she wiped it away she saw the red color. „Ahhhhh....!“, she made a weak, surprised noise and pushed a hand against her nose. The girl with the glasses was quickly at her side though, reassuring her.
"Nancy! It's okay... lean forward and pinch your nose. If you lean back, it can get into your sinuses. Hopefully it'll stop soon..."
She did as she said. Naya had also come closer. "Oh Nancy, I hope you're okay. I know how much Sig meant to you. I hope your friends are okay." She nodded at the first part and then backpedaled. Her other friends.. „Oh please...! Does anybody of you know about Arielle? Phillip, Thalia? My aunt...? Please, if you have seen them, tell me..!“, she called out, suddenly panicking. Please be okay...! She knew she couldn’t go through this again, she had already lost Sig. She squinted her eyes and went back into bending forward to work against the bleeding.
After a little while, the bleeding finally stopped. Her hand was covered in blood that had been running down her arm, as well as her chin, but she didn’t feel any pain. No physical one. She noticed Pidge carrying something in her hands. A bat. And a puppet. What the...? Wait.. was that a Voodoo doll or something? And it said.. „Veronica?“, she read out loud. Why would it say that? Did it belong to her...? No.. wasn’t the name on a doll the person that was meant to be controlled?

"Hey!", Katherine shouted restrained as someone suddenly grabbed her arm. Nancy, Katherine exhaled relievedly and crossed her legs as she tried to give the girl a kind smile, which wasn't that easy since Katherine hated not getting information and not knowing what was going on. "Something... or someone ..", Nancy finally started talking and Katherine's eyes widened the very moment, holding on and listening closely to every word. Finally. "..is sending us weird texts with tasks we have to do and if we refuse, we die...!“, Nancy went on, her voice seemed shaky and she seemed scared to Katherine. Someone or something was sending texts with tasks? And if they refuse they die? Katherine quickly processed the new information and as she tried to make sense of it Nancy went on saying something about some guy. Why didn't she get texts? But then again, apparently she was way longer asleep than the rest of the people here. However, finally Katherine had some sort of explanation as to why she was here and all the students seemed so traumatized. "...but sometimes it means hurting people. Kat, I..... I hurt one of my best friends because I was so afraid of dying... I feel so terrible, but at the same time I don’t know what I could’ve done better to keep both of us alive.", Nancy had Katherine's attention back the moment she went more detailed about the hurting part. Katherine watched the poor girl looking to the floor and as much as Katherine wanted to simply say that they'll make it out safe, she knew Nancy needed more. Katherine could see how ashamed she felt, since she could barely look her in the eyes anymore. But how could Katherine judge her? She was a girl trying to stay alive and apparently she was playing the game and succeeding so far, since she still was alive. "Nancy..", Katherine layed her hands around Nancy's face and made her look at her, "Nancy, listen to me. Everything you did was just right, okay? Someone who must be going to this school has some unfinished business with all of you and is playing sick games. But you are strong okay?". Katherine finally hugged Nancy and held her tight.
Then the other girl, Naya, went on telling stories about what she witnessed and soon the annoying tech-girl jumped in as well. Apparently a few or rather a lot of people died, a boy or girl called Jamie, some new girl, Sig?!. Katherine wished she knew the students better, to make some connection between all of the victims. But how could she? At this point Katherine started wondering if not knowing most of them was an advantage or disadvantage.
Suddenly Katherine noticed Nancy freaking out when the name "Sig" was dropped. All these gender-fluid names are really confusing, Katherine thought. She knew she should try to stay serious, but this was so much to react to, Katherine was overwhelmed. Nevertheless, Nancy started shaking, mumbling something to herself and eventually crying. Katherine sighed as she watched the girl who once was like her little sister enduring so much pain. Just as she wanted to walk over to her to talk to her the next thing happened.
The tech-girl, Pidge, found a doll in the desk and the next thing that happened was that Nancy's nose started bleeding. "What the...", Katherine hurried to find something for Nancy to presh against the nose, but Naya was already helping her. Great, Katherine thought annoyed and walked over to Nancy. Before she sat down next to Nancy, Katherine turned to Naya. "Thank you for helping her", Katherine said sincerely. "Nancy in a world of mysterious texts and deaths...how do you manage to additionally get freakin' nose bleeding?!", Katherine cautioned her jokingly.
"Oh side question - I saw the destroyed hallway, so I guess there is no way out. The windows?" Katherine basically said to herself and walked over to the window, "Yep. Why did I even try it. Perfect.". After that she walked back to Nancy and layed a hand on the girl's back.

Naya and that other bitchy girl tended to Nancy's nose bleed. Thankfully, the bleeding had stopped. "Oh please...! Does anybody of you know about Arielle?" Nancy asked the group "Phillip, Thalia? My aunt...? Please, if you have seen them, tell me..!" Pidge bit her lip and set the doll down on a nearby desk, hoping that she wouldn't harm anyone else with it. For all she knew, the doll could be possessed and try to kill one of them. "I was just with them a while ago." She raised her hand, garnering the attention of the other women. "Phillip isn't speaking... either he can't or refuses to... Thalia has been very protective of Phillip. She confessed her love to him... that probably explains the protectiveness." Catherine quickly shut her mouth, debating whether or not she should share the news about Veronica's condition. Who knows how'd she react once the news was revealed? The techie swallowed her pride and became as open as she could. "Your aunt, Nancy... she... she hasn't been well. She hasn't gotten any strange texts, but sver since the divorce, she told me, she had been in a downward spiral... tried to kill herself a couple of times. She mentioned something about it starting this June." She grabbed the doll again and stared at it intensely. It looked nothing like the club leader, but it bore her name. Would she have tried to kill herself that way? "Guys... check your phones. Something weird's been going down with them. What day was it when the earthquake happened?"
