Event #5 "A Very Merry Unbirthday to You!"

Silence. Nothing but silence surrounded them. Ten students were sitting at the table in the middle of the stage under the light of only one single dim spotlight. Tied up, helpless and scared.

As Amanda did with the girls during the "Heathers audition" - their legs were tied to the chairs, each student had their left arm tied behind them. There was no way they could wiggle their way out of the ropes or try to untie each other without falling down to the ground.

Chris and Robert were sitting on the opposite sides of the table. On the left side (starting from Chris) of the table sat: Tara, Esmeralda, Pidge, Maxine. On the right side: Jamie, Misha, Peyton, Vanessa. On the table before them were ten filled with cold green teacups, a teapot, a small deck of cards and a plate filled with bright, colorful macaroons. Also, somebody thought it's going to be either funny or cute to put a pair of cotton pink bunny ears onto Robert's head.

Besides that... Nothing seemed out of ordinary. If only they weren't tied to their chairs and forced to sit in a creepy ominous dark auditorium - their meeting would pass for their regular drama-club one!

Although, hold on! There was something else.

Right before Esmeralda and Pidge lay a note that stated:

"Whoever finds the note first, I command you to read it out loud!

First - pick a card face-down. Don't show anybody your card! Second - pick a macaroon of one color and give somebody the other one of the same color (or simply LET somebody else pick - that's even more interesting! WOOO-O! <3) and BOOM! This means you two are now a pair! Yay!

You should know that TWO cards in this deck are special! A match made in heaven! One is a "Star" that shines brighter than all others! Whoever star picks will be blessed with many more unbirthdays! The other one is "X". A heartless grim murderer. And only the Star can save and bring meaning and joy back into their life!

Try to find each other without peeking or telling one another what card you have! If you are paired up with the X, you will die unless you have the star card.

P.S. If you DARE to not follow the rules you ALL shall be found dead the next morning. Not kidding! Haha! Good luck! Enjoy your tea!"

And that's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

RULES:
1. Your character will have to draw a card from a deck and, not telling or showing anyone your card, pair up with another character*.

There will be three card types with three drawings:
- eight cards with nothing drawn on it - empty cards. You are safe if you pair up with someone who has either an empty card or a star.
- one card with a star. You are safe no matter who you pair off with. If you pair off with the X, you will not die.
- one card with an X. Whoever you pair off with will die (unless they have a star).

2. Pick a macaroon of one color and give/let somebody else pick the other one of the same color - this is how you make a pair.
3. Wait until everybody will pair up and see who got paired with an unlucky X.
4. Your character can try to untie him/herself but it will be useless. If you try to wiggle your way out/fall down with a chair, your character will be killed by the end of the event (even though there is nobody in the room to punish your character), because he/she didn't follow the rules.

*If the player cheats or somehow reveals his card in private message/chat/forum or even her/his own post - he will be banned from the roleplay immediately.

POST ORDER:
There is no post order for this thread. The results of what punishment stands behind the X-card will be revealed by the end of the event.

WEATHER AND TIME IN THE GAME:
Rain still pouring like a water-spout. Time at the student's phones froze at 8:51 pm, June 11. Most of the student's phones' batteries are half-charged.

[Misha Charisse Quinn]

Misha woke up with a groan of discomfort. The headache and dizziness she was starting to become accustomed to, but the back pain was new. Trying to get herself to move into a more comfortable position, she was surprised to find herself slouched against a hard surface and having to force herself back up to find some support to rest against. It took some time, her body having been in that awkward position for what seemed like far too long (… which wasn’t reassuring), but, trying to use whatever limited mobility she had, she settled herself, and, carefully, opened her eyes.
The first thing she saw was Jamie unconscious next to her, but visibly breathing. Seeing her past team mate still alive was comforting; what wasn’t was everything else. Apart from the two of them, there were 8 more people; some she knew well, like Max and Robert, as well as past group mates she was happy to see were still alive, others not so well. All of them were sitting around a table, with one arm tied to the armchair. Misha instinctively looked at her left arm; tied up as well.
Her stress levels rose to 100%.
This is new. She told herself, trying to put humor into the situation. Someone was toying with them and moving them around, that much had been clear for a while. But this kind of thing... had never happened before. And she had a very bad feeling it wasn’t something she was going to regret not having sooner in her life.
Taking another wary look around, content to see that everyone seemed alive at least, Misha was surprised to find Peyton sitting right next to her. A little unsteady, she gently pushed her shoulder a couple times, before turning to Jamie.
 – Peyton. Girls, wake up. Something’s happening.
She wished she knew what, though.
She was soon going to regret her curiosity.
As she looked around, trying to untie herself with no results, her eyes landed on a note on the table. Curious, she verified that no one was (visibly) watching them, and reached for it, bringing it in front of her eyes.

Whoever finds the note first, I command you to read it out loud!

Misha frowned, with the hint of a disapproving smirk. Of fucking course she just had to go and put that role on herself. Sighing nervously, attempting to keep a straight face, she contemplated her options. There weren’t many; it wasn’t like in the other rooms where she could just leave if a situation bothered her, or protect herself against harm. And, despite herself… her intrusiveness consumed her. Clearing her throat, she started reading, the content of the letter being delivered both to her and to those waking up around her, to all of their surprises.
Misha blinked. What the…?
10 people, 10 cards, of unclear meaning. One of them, “A heartless grim murderer“. Did that mean…
… that one of them would have to kill someone? How literal was that supposed to be?
 – … Is this for fucking real? – she shook her head.
By experience, she could tell this was probably not one of those games where the losers would quietly wait for the rest of players to finish having fun. No, it seemed like the unluckiest person would end up like…
She tried to avoid glancing at those around her. She failed.
She gulped awkwardly.
Her eyes went back to the cards in front of her. The macaroons. She wondered if one of them was poisoned, but… no, that would be too random. If anyone was to die… whether literally or not… and it sounded like it would be the case… The one to kill you would be your partner, not food. Which meant…
She couldn’t trust anyone.

Her stress levels were way above 100% now.

 –Seriously, this bitch expects us to just… play with each other’s lives? – she felt her face redden at that prospect, her hands shaking with anger. Even if this was all just a sick joke, the insinuations were sick enough. She didn’t know how many people were doing this to them, or who They were, but she didn’t care.
She was tired of this shit, of the dares, of the games, of the deaths. Of not knowing where her friends were, how they were doing; from now on, of having the thought that they could be in one of those games, too. Now, this person, whoever it was, was forcing them to directly cause someone’s death. If she was right about this – and the memory of Emery and Madonna’s death told her she was – One of the players here… would be indirectly responsible. She didn’t want to play that stupid game. She didn’t want to be one of their pawns. She had said herself that giving in too much would be fatal.
She didn’t want to die now, either.
She felt her tied up hand gripping onto the armchair with visible strength, to the point of the pressure on her nails sending waves of pain to her fingers. She hesitated, calculated. There weren’t this many outcomes to this, nor many ways to predict what card she would get if she waited or picked one up first; even less when the rules themselves weren’t so clear. And she had the feeling that refusing to play along might get her punished… a little harsher than before.
Misha swore audibly, cursing her natural curiosity and competitiveness. Reluctantly, she grabbed a card, and gave a wary look. Her jaw tightened.
She considered, for just a second, revealing her card. To hell with the stupid rules, and with this stupid place. Maybe if everyone else followed, then…
She wondered if They would have any second thoughts about killing everyone in the room. The note seemed to indicate they wouldn’t.

Slowly, very slowly, she lowered her card on her lap. No, revealing it openly… might not be a good idea. And she wasn’t sure the rest would even have the balls to join her in this situation, when everything was so uncertain.

Silently, she looked up, eyeing everyone as they picked their own cards. Trying to look for any body language that would give away what they had picked, and what her best options were. She hated having to distrust her own classmates like this, as much as she hated feeling so tense every time someone received a text and she knew it could affect her; but in this situation, sadly… blind trust wasn’t something she could afford.

Discreetly, she let her hand wander to the macaroons, and picked a red one, cursing under her breath. Why did they have to incapacitate her left hand instead of the right? Was that too much comfort too much to fucking ask? After a moment of hesitation, she also allowed herself to get the other same colored macaroon closer to herself. She couldn’t help but feel protective of it, knowing just anyone could pick it and pair up with her. Once she was done, she turned back to the ladies surrounding her.

 –… are you three okay? – she asked, eyeing first Jamie, then Max, and, finally, Peyton. She in particular hadn’t been having a great time the last time they talked, and she truly hoped that she would be in the right disposition to play this without getting herself – or anyone – accidentally killed… outside of what the game demanded. Silently, she tried to communicate with Peyton with her eyes as she played with the macaroons in her hand; this woman was either the most serious, down-to-earth of them all… or the most emotional of them all. But she hoped she could count on her for this.

[Catherine "Pidge" Santorini]

She slowly woke up, the same way that she had been doing so for the past week... month... however long it's been. The first thing saw were familiar faces in front of and around her: Peyton and Vanessa (no Riley, sadly) facing her and Esme, Tara, and Maxine on her side. At the head and foot of the table sat Rob and someone she wasn't too familiar with. All of their right arms were free for some reason. Pidge then decided to look down. Her legs and left arm were tied to a chair; it could easily be assumed that she was in the same position.

As she took a further glance around the room, she noticed she was in the auditorium. The place where this whole shitshow began. If she could focus hard enough, she could have still smelled the blood and Ellie's rotting brains. Pidge glanced at the cards on the table and picked one. She also grabbed a macaroon, a green one to be more specific. From what she could see it wasn't a natural green like a matcha, lime, or mint. It seemed like the baker decided to add all of the food coloring and make it nearly unnatural, fitting the situation to a tea.

Esme woke up with a pounding in her head. Well duh. That was to be exoected. What wasn’t expected was to wake up tied up. Tied up in an incredibly uncomfortable position. Her arms were beginning to grow numb. Her fear was briefly disapated when she saw a few faces. Tara and Chris. And Peyton. Everyone was in the same boat as her. Confused and scared to death, but nonetheless alive. Esme read the note behind them, disgust evident. Such irony. She, Tara, and Amanda had tea before...before all of this. Now it was run by a literal mad hatter.

“Great.”

Esme reaches over and selected a green macaroon. She remembered they were plentiful at the last tea party stevwas a part of. Where was Copper when she needed him now?

“Chris, Tara...it’s going to be okay.”

[Tara Macfly]

Tara woke up slowly, with some aches, being in a very unconfortable position.

She groaned realising she was on a chair. Last thing she remembered was talking to chris through the wall. She didn't remember falling asleep on a chair.

It began all over again. It was playing with them again. Putting them again in another place with another people. What was the goal in all of this ?

She tried to get up but realised that her legs and her left arm were tied up to the chair.What was happening ? Why was she tied up ? It was different from anything that happened before. Did it decided to kill her ?

She panicked trying to detach her ropes. But she only hurt herself by doing so.

She growled angry and tried to calm herself to think how to free herself. She then noticed that she wasn't alone. Also tied on their chairs around a table with teacups in front of them, were other students. It could have been a tea party like the one she had with Amanda and Esme or the one Arielle wanted to do before all of this. If they weren't tied up. A really creepy staging.

At her side she recognised esme, and the tech girl in her previous group. She also saw Jamie, misha, Peyton and others drama clubs members she vaguely recognized and knew their names.

what will happen to all of them ? Will they die ?

"Is everyone alright ?" She asked difficultly in this uncorfortable position.

And then her gaze fell on a familiar red head and her heart stopped to beat. No ! Not him !

"Chris, please wake up !" She supplied. Chris couldn't die. He couldn't !

"Chris, Tara...it’s going to be okay.” she turned towards the person who told her this. Esme. She was awake too. She wanted to trust her but how could this be okay ? How could everyone will be okay ?

She needed to free herself and save chris and the others. But how ?

The knife ! She suddenly remembered. She still have it ! It was on her skirt's pocket.

She tried to reach it but it seemed impossible with her left arm tied up. But she needed to. She didn't have the choice.

But when she desperatly tried to reach the knife without any success. Misha also awake started to read some paper in front of her.

Tara's eyes grew in horror, the more she heard. What ? What was this crazy game ? Someone will really die if someone pair up with the person who had the x card ?

She didn't want to play this crazy game. She just wanted to free herself and the others, throw these fucking cards and insult their tormentor.

But apparently if someone didn't follow the rules, everyone could die. She didn't have a choice. She looked again at her pocket with thz knife in it. But abandoned the idea. Even if she succeed in taking it. It will just probably kill them all.

"Whoever you are, you who is torturing us i hate you" she thought before reluctanctly choosing one of the card in front of her. Hoping really hard to not have the "murdering" card. She could never forgive herself if even involuntarily she killed someone. She prefered to die.

She took a look at it, breathing to calm the fear raising in her and then she took the blue macaroon intinctively. She always loved this color. Color of the sea, the sky. For her it was hope's color. She needed hope right now, for everyone to leave here safe.

Vanessa groaned softly as she came to, blinking as she looked down at her lap in confusion. Putting a hand to her head, she realized quickly that she couldn't move her left arm, causing her to tug on it. Raising her head, she took in her surroundings with wide eyes. Her blue-gray eyes landed on each person before pausing on Maxine.

"Max!" she breathed out. "Oh, thank God! I was worried--" she said before taking in the tea set and macaroons. "What..?"

Her attention turned to Misha as she read the note, her eyes widening more as she read on. "What? But..." Her body shook a little.

If she drew an x that means she kills someone... or she could draw a star and be safe... I- I can't ask anyone to partner with me... but we might die if we don't play? This is insane! she thought as she watched as a few of the others picked a card. With a shaky breath she drew her own card and glanced at it.

Quickly she placed it face down on her lap before looking at the macaroons. Biting her lip, she reached for a purple one, while saying a silent prayer for herself and her classmates.

[Peyton Cross]

Darkness. Darkness engulfing her once again. It was cold and she felt trapped. Like she was holding her breath. Any attempt to move was futile. She felt as she glued to the floor, just made there to watch.

She then heard a voice, a muffled one. But it was familiar. And she heard her name, someone calling out to her. Reaching through her. A bright light came down from the abyss.

Peyton opened her eyes. They fluttered a bit, trying to adjust to the change of lighting. She hadn’t seen a light that bright in a while. It was almost like…a spotlight. The auditorium. She’s still in here. Guess whoever was moving them decided to be lazy and leave her there as is. But this was different. She now saw people. Mutliple people. Her eyes first laid on the person in front of her, which was Pidge. She squinted trying to see everyone else. There was Max, Tara, and a brunette girl sitting in one row.

“Something’s happening,” the voice from her dream said. Peyton turned to see who the owner of the voice was and saw…Misha?

“Misha,” she muttered, still a bit dizzy, “Wh-h-how did you get here?” She attempted to shift her arm next to her…but she couldn’t move it. The raven haired furrowed her eyebrows…and then her eyes snapped open. She truly saw all of her surroundings now. Her classmates. The table. The teapots. The note. The macaroons. The cards. But most infuriating, the rope around her arm, legs, and waist. She wiggled around, attempting to break free, but it didn’t work. Once more, her brute strength was useless.

“What the hell? WHAT THE HELL?!” she shouted.

Peyton’s breathing could be heard by everyone, including the fury in her eyes. She saw Misha pick up a note and read it outloud. The raven haired kept wiggling around as she listened to the redhead, but the more Misha spoke, the more angry she got. One of them has to kill someone?! Are you serious?!

Misha mumbled something that Peyton didn’t quite catch, and saw her eyes shift to what was in front of them. She knew what they had to do, pick a card. Pick a macaroon. If not? Everyone dies. She fumed with anger.

“Who’s the lunatic who thinks they can do this to us?!” Peyton spat. All the deaths, all of the texts, it was all leading back to whoever tied her to the chair. She couldn’t wait to meet the person who was doing all of this, so she could give them a punch in the face. Fuck. This. Noise.

She noticed people already picking macaroons and their cards. Peyton wasn’t in the mood to play games today. She decided she’ll wait it out, see what fate has planned for her. She’s not afraid to die, far from it. She just doesn’t want to see anyone else die today, especially not by the hands of one of them. She picked up her card, glanced at it, and put it in her lap. She’ll follow the damn rules, if that’s what it takes.

“…are you three ok?” Misha asked her, Max, and Jamie. 

“Peachy,” Peyton muttered. “Who the fuck is doing all of this in the first place?”

Maybe one of them knew the answer.

It seemed like a few seconds ago the boy was still talking to tara. He then had felt really weird once again as he had blacked out. Had he suddenly become tired and fallen asleep? No way. he couldn't have. not with how sad tara had been. yes he was tired. exhausted even. but he wouldn't have sunk that low.

slowly he opened his eyes as he heard vague voices around him. “ Hn..” "Chris, please wake up !" a familiar voice. He moved his head up still drowsy from the black out. "Chris, Tara...it’s going to be okay.” Tara? but tara was on the other side of the wall. When did esmeralda walk in on him. “ w-what..?” he mumbled as his eyes had to adjust to the light even if it was dimly lit. He only now fully realized how tired he was. when he tried to move however he noticed he couldnt. “ huh..?” he asked softly as he was confused. he blinked as he was now fully awake. he struggled but was tied up tightly. “ what in the..” he looked up only now seeing the scene in front of him. He noticed all the drama club members “ I.. how did we” He looked over his shoulder seeing tara and esme. “ tara..! esme..!” he looked scared and confused. what the hell was this. He moved his head to face misha who was reading something out loud.

It took chris a moment to let all of this sink in. What in the world was this kind of sick game. he felt disgusted to the core of his being. so somebody could possibly die. it was a chance of 1 out of 10 that whoever had the star would be able to find the cross. he looked at the deck of cards almost afraid to touch them. What if he got the cross? that would mean someone would die because of him. But.. what if he got the star? that would mean someone would die if he didnt find the cross. It was a cruel way of thinking but he could only hope to get a circle. The boy felt bad thinking that he would rather have someone else in that bad position then himself. After everything.. could he trust his luck?

Seeing how time seemed to only have stopped for him he realized people were already grabbing cards and macaroons. Feeling a little pushed by everyone else going along with this he quickly reached out to grab a card looking at what he got.

he saw how the girls next to him were picking their colored macaroons. Chris didn't know what to do. There had to be a way they could all live but everyone seemed eager to just get a macaroon. everyone except for peyton who was freaking out. He didn't blame her. this game was insane. it couldn't even be called a game anymore. “Who the fuck is doing all of this in the first place?” Peyton asked. Chris gave her a clueless look. he didn't know. He in all honestly was more scared of the macaroons then eager to get one. there had to be a way out. so he waited. maybe someone would come up with a plan. maybe someone could get free. As if it wasn't clear already he knew now for sure. this wasn't a normal earthquake. there was something incredibly wrong with the school, something.. demonic and twisted.

[Maxine Evans]

A strained voice came to her from the darkness. ‘Peyton. Girls, wake up. Something’s happening.’ Max came to, her head pounding like the result of another all-night bender. The headache – irritatingly – had almost become second nature. She tried to move - only for her legs to tug against rope. The chair scraped against the floor. Her left arm felt trapped, pins and needles prickling behind her. She grimaced. Brilliant.

As she became accustomed to the harsh lighting, she began to notice the people in front of her. Jamie, Misha, Peyton and – her heart fluttered. Vanessa. She was alive. The long-haired brunette met her eyes. ‘Max!’ she breathed, ‘Oh, thank god I was worried –‘

‘Me too, luv,’ Max sighed in relief. She felt tempted to ask her what happened - if Vanessa was hurt, if she had seen anything, if she was -

Misha cleared her throat.
Max stopped herself. Later. She swore to ask Vanessa later if – when - they made it out of here alive.

All eyes turned to the red-head. Max gave a quick lookover at the others around her. She didn’t recognize everyone. Some of the other tech girls, a boy on one side of the table, and poor Robert sporting a pair of bunny ears on the other. ‘A hare-y situation indeed,’ Max couldn’t help thinking to herself. Misha began to read the note in front of her.

 Max’s mind raced as she heard the rules of the ‘game’. ‘A heartless grim murderer…’ It felt like a taunt. The random disappearances, the butchered corpse in the fridge… did Elizabeth come to a sticky end because she lost a game like this? It felt paranoid. Max gave a sideways glance at Jamie. She didn’t even want to guess at what was going through the girl’s mind right now.

‘Good luck! Enjoy your tea!’ Misha shook her head in disgust. ‘Is this for fucking real?’
Maxine looked down at the green pot set in front of her. Probably put Lipton tea in there too. Sick bastard.


‘Seriously,’ Misha continued, ‘this bitch expects us to just.. play with each others lives?’
Max felt the card with her fingers. She didn’t flip it yet. A choice. There was still a choice. She didn’t have to decide who died, who lived, or what have you. Not yet. She could see some of the others hesitate. They didn’t have to do this. ‘We can’t let them win.’ Wasn’t that what she told Jamie in the breakroom? They could just flip their cards right now– they didn’t have to obey whoever did this like battered sheep…

‘Are you three okay?’ Misha asked, turning to Jamie, her and Peyton in turn.
‘Peachy. Who the fuck is doing all of this in the first place?’ Peyton answered in a scowl.

Another echo. Jamie holding onto Max on the floor. ‘Elizabeth’s neck was sliced open… who… who would do this?’ Yeah. There was no choice. She had to believe what she told Jamie back there. She couldn’t let it break her. Or her friends. But she also couldn’t let everyone in the room die because of her ruddy pride.

Max closed her eyes. The spotlight began to hurt. ‘Dunno. But either that tea set has to go or I do.’

Some of the other girls began to pick macaroons already. Misha guarded over a red one, keeping vigilance over it it seemed. Peyton and the other boy sat back. The green ones were already gone, taken by two of the students. Max noted with interest that the yellow ones were the only colours left bereft of a person – whoever chose it would force the rest to find a partner.

Her options were dwindling. Either she had to choose now - or have the choice made for her. 

No. She always forged her own path - no matter how difficult. She peeked at her card, then placed it back down. She saw Vanessa – her head bent. A purple macaroon sat in front of her. Out of everyone in the school… Max nodded. She lifted her own purple macaroon as high as she could – a mock toast to the monster who did this.

‘Cheers.’

Max was the first to speak up from her comment, “Dunno. But either that tea set goes or I go.”

Peyton chuckled a little bit, “You always did hate American tea.”

Her small smile faded and she leaned her head back, having her eyes avoid the bright spotlight. She thought deeply about everything, about what would happen next. The fear of the unknown creeping up on her again. She had given up trying to break free once she felt the rope burns on her arm and legs. It was futile. The raven haired was helpless. She had to play the game. She couldn’t think of another option, or plan, or be stubborn and something else. No. She had to follow the rules....or everyone would die. So be it then....so be it.

She saw Max take the purple macaroon and give a small “Cheers” to their captor, whoever they were. Peyton decided she was done waiting it out....and did the same.

She grabbed the yellow macaroon, the only color that hadn’t been chosen yet, lifted it up a little bit.

“Cheers indeed.”

[Jamie Lewis]

As Jamie regained consciousness, she could hear a few people talking. Her head still spinning, not sure where she was exactly until she opened her eyes. It seemed like.. the auditorium. Where they were when earthquake happened. She was sitting on a chair. She tried to move, but she realized she was tied to the chair. The girl tried to get at least her other arm free, but she gave up as she noticed the people around her. Max, Misha and Peyton were the ones who stood out to her most. She took in the tea cups in front of her and the macaroons laying there, then Misha started reading. The rules in the beginning seamed simple enough… but as Misha got to the death part.. her heart clenched. Was.. was this for real? Were they really going to die if they got unlucky? Misha exclaimed her opinion and Jamie deeply agreed. It was sick and scary. But she knew it wasn’t just metaphorical. She saw people murdered.. this person could do anything if they don’t follow the rules. The brunette reached out for a card as did everyone else, then after looking at it she placed it on the table. “Are you three okay?” the redhead asked. Jamie slowly nodded. How okay can you be in this situation? Then she saw how all the pairs of the macaroons were picked. No..no..no. She looked at her options. She wanted to go with someone she knew...trusted, but Max already picked a pair and Misha seemed protective of her own. She looked at Peyton. She wasn’t too familiar with her, but she knew she was Emery’s friend… and Jamie trusted Emery. “I hope it’s okay for you..” she said before reaching in and grabbing the yellow macaroon.

Chris looked around him seeing how everyone started to get paired up. He swallowed. “g-guys” he started but stopped. People had already decided they would welcome possible death as an old friend. The thought scared him. They used to be students. Friends. Not young adults ready to die by some paranormal curse. He knew nobody was going to listen to him.


Misha was guarding the other red macaroon like she was some kind of guard dog and chris honestly didn't feel like getting in a possible fight over if he could have it or not. That and the macaroon tara had was not picked yet. He looked at his friend and felt a bit at ease even in this stressful situation. He trusted tara and they had already been a team before the event.

He took a deep breath as he reached to get the blue macaroon. “.. are you okay with this..?” he asked as he held it. He trusted tara but didnt want to force her to be a team with him if she didnt want to. He prayed for his friends. Tara, esme and ofcourse he didnt mean his other classmates harm. He also prayed for himself and the consequences of his choice and those of his classmates

"are you okay with this..?”

Tara raised her head. Chris was about to take a blue macaroon. Like her. She smiled a little. She couldn't have thought of a better person to put her life in their hands than him. Her first friend in maverick high. Her best friend. The one she trusted the most. She couldn't dream of a better partner.

"Of course Chris" she smiled a little to him, wanting to give him hope about the ending of this event.

She wanted to reach his hand but with her left hand tied it was an impossible task. She sighed, but continued to smile sweetly at her friend.

"Whatever will happen now, I want you to know chris that you are my best friend, and I'm so happy to have met you. You're one of the nicest person I met here, always here to help me. I can't thank you enough for everything. Thank you". A treacherous tear fall on her cheek after her speech "I love you"

Now she said it. She didn't have any regret left.

She closed her eyes afraid to see what will happen. Someone will probably die soon. She was so scared. How could it have end like this ? Who was doing this to them and why ?

Tears continued to fall through her eyes, when she wait for the final sentence.

An awkward silence hung for a moment, as Chris took his blue macaroon making it official that he and Tara are now a "pair". Rob, who was still asleep, didn't get his red macaroon, but it didn't matter. The deal was sealed. Misha's heart belonged to him... as long as it was beating steadily.

Suddenly the members of the "tea party" could hear a clanking sound from the turning on the engine. Somebody was operating in the tech booth in the back of the auditorium! They couldn't exactly tell who because the lights there were turned off, but it had definitely a human body. Whoever it was - it turned on the happy birthday music, that was now booming from the columns.

"Happy birthday to you!" at the start the recording sounded cheerful and nice, but with time it got more and more distorted and messy.

"H͜a̸pp̀y̛ bi҉rth̸d͟ay to ͡y̕o͟͝u̡,͢," Pidge saw something dripping in her teacup only to look up and witness a half-naked body of sliced in half and sewed together girls - Faith and Polaris - lowering down from the ceiling, hanging on hooks like a pig. Their once beautiful blue dress was ripped to shreds and covered in filth and blood. The body seemed rotten and smelly. Who knows for how long it was hanging in here like this, right above the ceiling?! Distracted by the "marvelous" view, as the final lines of the song boomed from the columns, the girls on the opposite side of the table couldn't warn the other half in time...

"H̴̕a͠p͢p̷͞ỳ ͢͡b̷̧͘i̷̢r͝͝ţ̸́h̛͡ḑ̀a͠y̷ ̸̨̧t̴̡͢o̵ ̨y̛͘͡ơu̕͞,̕̕͠ " as a young tall man dressed in a ripped and dirty clown suit used an electric drill on Jaimie's head. "J͢͏̀ ̸̷͡Á̶͞͠ ̡̢̨͜͞I̶̷ ҉Ḿ̵̵͞͡ ̵̡̢͟͞I̢͘͜ ̷̨͠E͠,͘͠" a robotic voice pronounced through the speakers the name of the victim, as the tall ginger man kept drilling inside her skull, holding the girl tightly, listening to her screams. 

"̢̛H̸̡̀̕à̸͜p̢̢͘̕p̵̶y̷̢͞ ́͜b̸̡i҉͜͠͝t̀͜͝͠h҉͡d̷́͡a̶̡͡ỳ̀͜ ̸̷t͘͘͡o͏͏̴ ̷̶̀͟͝y̶͢͟o͞u̢͠!̡̨"̵̀̕ the song has finally ended. Jaime was dead.

Sigvard took a few steps back like he has finally realized what he had done. Perplexed and frightened, he whispered with his lips only, "No, I- What? I- AH!" Next moment he bent in half, feeling intense pain in his abdomen. Now everybody could see that besides all the blood from Jaime's scull - his costume was covered in his own blood from his guts from a gaping hole in his body. The ginger man staggered down to his knees and lost consciousness. In a few hours, he would die from blood loss.

Perfect.

With a satisfied grin, Naya turned off the lights.

Wow! What a wonderful party this was! Naya watched from the shadows, patiently waiting as all the new couples formed. Oh how cute! She was especially pleased with Chris and Tara. What a touching display! One by one the victims chose their macaroons, leaving just Robert as the last. Oh well! He was red, whether he woke up or not. Now the games would begin.

She cranked the lever and watched with glee as the young Frankenstein lowered from the ceiling, a butchered version of Happy Birthday playing in the background. Wow, this was the best party she’d ever been to! And there wasn’t even any alcohol!

And now... the birthday clown! Sig had always liked to be a joker, so this was perfect. Such a shame Jamie was the victim. Oh well!

Her loud screams echoed round the room as slowly the clown drilled into her skull. Eventually, she flopped forward, dead. Sig, too, would die soon. He was the perfect pawn.

Silence. Then chaos.

Satisfied, Naya pulled the lever and turned off the lights. Climbing out of the tech booth, she made her way towards the door, cringing as white noise rang in her ears.

She walked through the door and was gone, as one by one everyone fell asleep, white noise buzzing in their ears.
