One by one you wake up. Your stomach hurts like someone was poking you with a needle from the inside. Your head is pounding, you feel nauseated. When you open your eyes, you see that the school looks abandoned: the walls are covered in irradiated paint, most of the light bulbs are broken - so the lighting is dim - and there is no natural light from the windows. No matter how much time has passed the view outside the windows doesn't change - everything is pitch black and the only thing you can hear is heavy raindrops hammering against them. You won't be able to get out through the window or any of the exits. If you try to throw something at the window to break it, it won't shatter. Besides that, I would not recommend jumping into the bottomless holes in the floor (the main ginormous hole is located in the middle of the school in the plaza), that appeared after the "impact". Besides the holes the "black" part of the map represents collapsed walls and floor - mainly the masses of deteriorated concrete are located in the corridors, blocking the way from reaching each of the areas. TASK: Carefully explore your surroundings and stay close to your group; nobody knows what awaits you around the corner in the dark. The NPC of the group stays knocked out for this thread, but you will be able to communicate with them later. You are allowed to roam around the area (three rooms) and create as many threads as you want. Don't forget to tag people in the title and describe in your first post (or in "off-top" section below the post) when did this thread happen time-wise, so nobody will get confused! PARTICIPANTS IN THIS AREA [entrance hall / class 1-2 / plaza]:
- Andrei (unconscious)
- Naya - Misha - Kairi - Peyton - Tara - Chris - Naveen
WEATHER AND TIME IN THE GAME:The sky is pitch black and it's still raining buckets of rain. DATE IN THE GAME:Unknown. POST ORDER:There is none post order BUT wait for at least two new posts to appear, before posting again.

Chris slowly started to feel his body again. He couldn't say he was happy about that. God.. what happened.. His stomach was hurting like hell. “ Hng..” he let out a groan of pain as he tried to open his eyes, regaining his consciousness. Where was he..?
Slowly his brain started to work again. And then it hit him. The girl falling on the concrete painting the glass red with blood. The earthquake. And more importantly. Tara. His eyes shot open as he tried to get up. “ Ugh.. T-Tara..!?” he held his stomach. the sudden movements were making him nauseous and his head was pounding. He blinked as his eyes had to adjust to the sudden darkness. for a moment he saw nothing. slowly his eyes got used to the surroundings as he looked around him trying to see what was going on. He noticed Tara as he got to her, He was already close to her. He got to his friend and gently touched her shoulder to see if she would react. “ t-tara.. are you awake..? t-tara..?” He looked around him looking for help. He saw some familiar faces, some people were harder to identify as they were facing the floor. how did andrei and naya got here..?! “ Andrei..? .. N-Naya..?” he asked cautiously while still holding tara. Chris bit his lip feeling a slight panic. He looked around him. Where they safe..? did nothing crash due to the earthquake..?
(OOC; i don't know if it counts as a perception check or not but if so i would like chris to do one on dangers in their surroundings If not please ignore this ^^' )

“ Ugh.. T-Tara..!?” she heard vaguely. She didn't know who called her. She tried to wake up, but she couldn't all her body hurted so much, open her eyes was a surhuman effort.
“ t-tara.. are you awake..? t-tara..?” She heard again and she was feeling like someone took her in their arms. Then she forced herself to regain consciousness.
She finally opened her eyes to meet green' worried ones.
"Chris ?" She asked seeing red hair. Her gaze was blurred.
"Shit my glasses" They were broken so Her gaze was now blurred. but she could recognize Chris in front of her. He seemed worried, she never saw him this worried ever.well it was apropriate for their weir situation.
"Are you... argh, shit" she tried to ask but cried holding her stomach. All her body hurt so much. Why ? She didn't remember anything. She only remember having a normal day school, miss kishi being late, Amanda's club, her tea with Amanda and Esme, copper, talking with chris. What happened then ? Why did it hurt so much ? She wanted to throw up.
She take a look at her surrondings. it looked like there had been an apocalypse.
And she saw the bodies of others members of the club, she thought she recognized Misha's red hair but she wasn't sure. It was dark with little luminosity and with her glasses this state... She had a really bad eyesight. She distingued the form of five others body, but couldn't really tell who they were.
"Oh my god, are they dead ?" She panicked. She wanted to go check their pulse but she couldn't walk to them.
"Fuck"
"Chris are you alright ?" She finally succeed to said worried about her friend. He didn't seemed well but he was conscious. And after an observation who was difficult with her bad eyes, his wounds seemed superficial but she couldn't relax until she heard the red head telling her he was fine and not in danger.
"Do you know what happened ? Are they alright ?" She asked next when she was sure he was as fine as he could be in this situation.
Finally she distinguished the others breathing, slowly but they were breathing.
"Thank god" Everything will be fine. They were all alive. They will leave, help will come, and it will just become a bad memory.
But then she saw some a red color on her hand. blood. She lust have cut herself. and then, seeing the blood, everything came back to her. Amanda's lifeless body, the earthtake.
She cried, she couldn't stop the tears coming from her eyes. Her breathing became harsh she couldn't breath. She grabed Chris' arm as if he was her life line, hugged him and cried into his shoulders. She was trying to find her breath again, but she couldn't. Amanda's dead body couldn't leave her mind.
"Amanda, Amanda, Amanda, Amanda" she cried into chris' shoulder.
She couldn't be dead, it was not possible. Not Amanda, not The sweet and cute girl she saw everyday in drama club. No it wasn't possible. It was a nightmare and she will wake up in her room and see the cute red head smiling sweetly at her again.
But the pain felt too much real.

Peyton’s eyes fluttered, only to shut close again as she winced in pain. She felt as if needles were poking her stomach, and her head had hit a rock. She felt sick, but Peyton doesn’t get sick. The world wasn’t making sense to her. The pain that she felt, it didn’t feel like a scar had cut open. It felt from the inside, something she couldn’t control. She lifted her torso up and faced the wall. At least…she thought it was the wall. Everything was pitch black, but she was able to make out a bunch of shapes on the floor. She took out her phone and turned on the flashlight. There was Kairi, Naya on top of Misha, three people she didn’t recognize (though she did know one of them helped out Alex earlier), and the janitor who was in the auditorium a few moments ago. She believed his name was Andrei, and he looked extremely out of it. Everyone else groaned and struggled to get up.
Peyton tried to remember what had happened. There was Kairi and Emery…I told them about my mom…and Emery-
“Emery!” Peyton’s eyes shot open. “Emery? EMERY?!” She looked around the room and wandered else where. It took her a few moments to realize that she wasn’t even in the auditorium anymore. She was in the entrance hall. How did I get here?
She kept looking, shouting Emery’s name. But nothing. No response. She kept walking until she felt her foot touch the edge of something. She wobbled back and saw a big black hole in the floor, leading to oblivion. She ran to the other side and it was the same thing. She was trapped. Peyton tried to text Emery, but no service. Now she was furious. Peyton felt herself fuming. She stomped her way to the entrance hall’s main door, and tried to open it. Locked. She tried pushing and pulling on the handle. It wouldn’t budge. Peyton’s anger got worse. She now attempted to kick the door open, hoping her brute strength would do the work. No progress. She then tried to break the glass, but she didn't even make a crack. Peyton slammed her body against the door multiple times, before her shoulder started to hurt. She finally sank to the floor, breathing loud enough that it echoed throughout the room. She needed to find Emery.

Whatcha gonna do?

Post by Misha Charisse Quinn on Jul 11, 2018 8:52:53 GMT
Her body was entirely numb, limb. She couldn’t feel a thing, couldn’t see a thing. Only very distant sounds, echoes. Noises that sounded like voices, like a conversation, but far, far away from her. It felt like her mind didn’t want to wake up, and if she’d known what awaited her, she might have been thankful for that. At least, she was at peace. For now. If only all those voices weren’t so… “EMERY?!”The scream finally startled her awake. Her eyes first opened without seeing, her brain not yet functional enough to register her surroundings, she tried to blink them to get them to work. At the same time, her mind was racing to make sense of her situation, and she slowly tried to move her body upwards… and failed. This woke her up even quicker than any scream could.
She remembered now. The club, all the drama, Miss Kishi. The ground shaking under her feet. Naya, Alex. The fall. And now she couldn’t move. Somehow the panic spread even faster than it had when she was running for her life. She had fallen a long distance, now her body was probably injured and something, probably a debris, was on top of her preventing her to move. She was gonna die here. She started moving frantically to wiggle her way out, feeling herself hyperventilate. She should have known better than do shake so much and risk having something else fall on her, but she was terrified and the screams and loud banging noises she could hear around her weren’t helping her think clearly. It took her almost a full minute to realize that the weight on her was clearly not as heavy as a piece of building, and too warm to be concrete. Trying to control her breathing, she squinted her eyes in the dark and fixated the unknown form. It was Naya. Jesus fucking Christ.
She let out the longest, shakiest breath she’d ever had. By the time she gathered the nerve to check for a pulse, she finally registered the feeling of the girl’s chest moving up and down against her as she breathed, and Misha rested her head against the cold floor, letting out another puff of air. Okay, so this was good. Her whole body was still hurting to the point she couldn’t tell one pain apart from another and she hoped she could get up, but at least she was alive and so was her friend. Feeling the initial adrenaline wear off as her eyes slowly adjusted to the dark, she gave a look around, and recognized the girl who had bumped into her earlier not far from her, with another male. On the other side of the room, fuming and groaning, was bathroom-girl, and Misha didn’t know whether the sight of them reassured her or not. On the one hand, she was glad to see she wasn’t the only survivor, or at least not alone and left for dead, but on the other hand… Where’s Alex? Emery? Everyone? It took her a few more seconds to notice Andrei’s unconscious body close to her, as well as Kairi’s. She had honestly hoped the janitor could have left the building before the earthquake… yet, selfishly, she felt so much better seeing him here. And at least he was alive too. A tingling sensation in her legs reminded her that it was about time to move. She just couldn’t wait to find out if she was paralyzed or not. What a joy that would be. Slowly, she prompted herself on her elbows and pushed herself upwards, as well as Naya’s still unconscious body which was threatening to fall. With one hand (everything hurt) she tried to steady the girl’s head against her chest, before lowering her hand to her shoulder to shake it very softly, afraid that she might have any broken bones.
– Naya? Are you alright? – nothing – Naya, wake up. There was an earthquake, people are missing, wake up. We need to find a way out of here.Suddenly, she coughed. Maybe she’d swallowed dirt on her way down or something, but she had to force herself to stay in her sitting position with no support from her arms as she used one to hold Naya and another to cover her mouth as she felt her throat dry and harsh. For yet another time that could have almost been funny if she wasn’t feeling so down, she reminded herself that she could have been at work right now. But… how much time had passed, anyway? Feeling the urgency of the situation, Misha turned to Andrei. Gently, she tried to shake him, yet again afraid of touching anything that might be broken. She wasn’t a firefighter or a paramedic, she didn’t know how to deal with injured bodies. For the second time, she felt a ball in her throat as the situation slowly dawned on her. Please just tell me the others are safe. They were still up when we fell, Alex’s probably still on the top floor and he’s going to be alright and get out and call help. That notion suddenly reminded her of something, but as she reached for her phone, she had to sigh again: no reception. Honestly, she was surprised it was even still working with all of this. They couldn’t call for help themselves; their only hope was for those outside to reach out to them… or to get out.
– Any luck? – she asked the woman who had been screaming and running around trying to open doors. A quick look around had told her that the couple hugging next to her wouldn’t be much help; one of them was sobbing profusely, calling out a girl’s name. Probably another club member who was missing. Wait… Missing. – Where’s Nancy? – she asked, searching all around her. There was barely any light, but she couldn’t see any other bodies with them, and the thought made her blood run cold. – Where’s- Where’s Miss Kishi? And the other woman… They weren’t that far from us, I…. … – the thought took her by surprise, but she found herself squinting her eyes – How did any of you get here anyway? You weren’t close to Naya and me at all when we fell.
The thought was just… weird. Bathroom-girl and Kairi were on the other side of the auditorium when all went down, and the other three weren’t even in the room. Where were those closest to her? She had run of course, but… How had she ended up falling with them of all people? If she’d had to fall with people so far from her, why couldn’t it be with… Don’t. She scolded herself. Those you don’t see here at least… have a chance of not being trapped.

Naya awoke to someone shaking her. She groaned. Can't a girl have a lie in for once?
"Ten more minutes," she mumbled, holding her pillow tight. Except, it didn't feel like a pillow. It was warm and... breathing? Her eyes snapped open. Oh god... she'd been cuddling Misha...
Why on earth was she cuddling Misha?!
Suddenly, a sharp, stabbing pain rushed through her stomach. She cried out, realising in that moment her whole body was aching. Someone was screaming Emery's name.
Emery...
She remembered. She remembered feeling slightly awkward and embarrassed, and wishing the ground would swallow her up. Then, she remembered the floor shaking and Misha pulling her to safety and the loud crack as a floodlight cut her classmate's skull in two. And she remembered falling, falling...
Where was she?
She looked out of the corners of her eye. She could see... Chris and Tara? What were they doing here, they hadn't been anywhere near her when the earthquake happened. The same went for Peyton, who was trying furiously to open the door, to no avail. She'd been with Kairi and Emery... And Naya could only see Kairi...
"Em?" she whispered hoarsely, tears threatening to fall. Then, louder, "Em? Emery?" She looked around frantically. No sign of Alex either; she was sure neither of the two men lying unconscious was him. But he'd been right there! Misha had called to him!
"Alex? Emery?" Naya was crying by now, tears dripping down her face. Where were they? Her whole body shook uncontrollably and her heart was racing. Where were her friends?
She looked down at Misha, staring up at her with wide eyes. Misha... Misha who'd tried to save her life without a second thought. Selfless, brave Misha. All thoughts of no, she won't like that and no, she values her personal space went out the window as Naya wrapped her arms tightly around her friend and sobbed.
"Misha..." she cried, "Misha, what do we do?"

“Any luck?”
Peyton, still heavily breathing, flashed her light to where the voice came from. It was Misha, who was now up and wide awake, as well as Naya. She sighed heavily.
“The glass won’t even break,” Peyton said. Nothing seemed to work. Why wasn’t this damn door opening??? She peered outside the window, but all she could see was the cloudy dark sky, and could hear the rain pounding against the building. She squinted to see if there was anything outside. She thought she saw a shape on the floor, but she couldn’t be sure. Peyton turned towards her fellow students, all questioning their surroundings.
"How did any of you get here anyway? You weren’t close to Naya and me at all when we fell.” Misha pointed out.
“If any of us knew the answer to that, we wouldn’t be asking it, now would we?” Peyton remarked. Her and Misha weren’t exactly on good terms at the moment, and her comment wasn’t exactly making it better. But there was a time and place to be Miss Nice Girl, and this moment wasn’t it. They were trapped in the school building. A student is dead. 3/4 of the club is missing. They’re surrounded by big holes in the floor. There’s no way of reaching the outside world. Peyton will comply and compromise, but she is damn well too busy trying to find a way out then to listen to everyone else cry in a corner or ask questions no one knows the answer to.
Peyton heard Naya begin to cry, cuddling Misha in fear of not knowing where her friends were. Time to get shit done. She got up off the floor and walked over to Naya, grabbing her by the hand.
“Hey! Now’s not the time to get hysterical! Naya, I want you to listen to me. We’re going to find a way out and we’re going to get help, but we can’t do that if everyone is going to start cradling themselves in a puddle of tears. Ok?” Peyton said. It may not have been reassuring, but it was the confidence they all needed.

Misha instinctively closed her eyes when a light was turned in her direction, before opening them slightly. It took a few seconds for her to get used to the new source of light, but when she did, she couldn’t miss the disheartened and frustrated look on bathroom-girl’s face. She could guess her answer from that alone. “The glass won’t even break.” The woman was still fretting around, looking for a way out, with just as much luck. So they were truly trapped. Awesome. Just as she was starting to feel herself grow anxious again, she heard the rest of the girl’s exasperated words. “If any of us knew the answer to that, we wouldn’t be asking it, now would we?” Misha frowned at that. What’s her problem? Was this just because of their bathroom argument, was she really still upset about that? Nah, that was ridiculous considering the situation. She was probably just unnerved by their predicament. That had to be it.
That’s the moment that Naya chose to finally wake up. It was a relief at first… until she started panicking. It was bad enough to have a girl desperately call for her friends all over her lap, it was worse when she started crying. It was a disaster when she hugged her tighter than ever and sobbed against her shoulder. Misha instantly froze. What was with people and cuddling her today? Wait, was she… asking HER what to do? Shouldn’t she know better than to ask her for comfort, of all people? Misha barely knew what to do with herself right now, and now she was supposed to take care of ANOTHER human being? Oh no. Nope, that wasn’t going to work. At a loss for words, Misha awkwardly wrapped one arm around the girl, patting her back gently, trying to figure out what to say. She was no use in a sad situation that DIDN’T imply injuries, darkness and potential death, she didn’t know what she even expected her to say to this. She had nothing. “Hey! Now’s not the time to get hysterical! Naya, I want you to listen to me. We’re going to find a way out and we’re going to get help, but we can’t do that if everyone is going to start cradling themselves in a puddle of tears. Ok?”This, added to the girl’s previous harsh words, brought Misha instant relief. Oh, good. Someone being kind of an ass. That she could deal with.
– Do you think screaming at everybody is going to help us, or what’s the idea? – she turned towards her, staring her down. – I get you want out, believe me I do too, but this attitude isn’t going to help more than crying. – still looking at her, Misha breathed. Somehow getting to talk someone down was actually helping her feel a little more in control. She wasn’t one to be cuddly and sweet, anyway. Whether it was good or not. – Okay, hm… clearly we’re all nervous right now. – she gave the sobbing couple next to her a look – And we don’t know where the others are. And hm… if they’re fine. – she turned to Naya – But… “she” is right – she gestured vaguely in the direction of bathroom-girl – , we’re not gonna get anywhere if we start collapsing now so… try to calm down and focus on finding a way out, okay? It’ll be easier to find Emery and Alex if we can all get out in one piece.
Looking at her friend for a few seconds, trying to see if she was feeling any better, Misha finally moved to get properly on her feet, bringing Naya up with her. Proceeding as carefully as she could, she was relieved to find out she could still walk and didn’t seem paralyzed – just in pain in every part of her body she could think of or imagine.
– If we can’t break the glass, maybe there’s something we can throw at it? – she looked around the room, focusing on the dim light coming out of bathroom-girl’s phone. It wasn’t much, but better than nothing. – Or something we can use to climb our way down… or our way up.She looked up the way they came from. She wasn’t sure it was the most viable idea, considering that was where they’d fallen from anyway and the ground was surely anything but reliable, but… She slowly moved closer to one of the big black holes, looking down from a safe distance. She couldn’t see a thing, and using her own phone’s light was helping. She quickly retrieved it in her pocket, hoping to save the battery as much as she could. That path didn’t seem any safer, nor did taking the risk to throw stuff around and risk causing another incident, but… if not this… what better option did they have?
– Is there anyone that can’t walk? – she asked around. Their best guess might be to try and explore the place, but she wasn’t sure if everyone could manage that after the fall. Not that she thought that splitting up was any better, but… until they received help, she wasn’t sure what else to do. As she said so, she gave a look towards bathroom-girl. She wasn’t sure what the girl thought of her right now, and she wasn’t sure she cared as long as they all got out of this one safe. But she was getting a little tired of mentally calling her “bathroom-girl”, and she was pretty sure she wouldn’t respond if she ever tried to call her that. And she wasn’t the only one she didn’t know here.
– So… what’s your name, anyway? – she asked the girl, eyeing her. – I’m Misha and… I’m kind of new. I don’t really know everyone’s names yet. – she turned towards the couple on the ground, hoping they’d get the idea.

" The picture ain't blurry, I just don't want to see it"

Post by Christopher Kresh on Jul 11, 2018 14:41:47 GMT
Chris saw how tara opened her eyes and couldn't be more glad. He let out a big stressed sigh as he looked at her. “ t-thank god..” he mumbled. "Chris ? What... argh, shit" Tara cried out in pain. Chris got worried again. “ easy..” he said softly as he looked at her scanning her for any possible injuries. "Oh my god, are they dead ?" He heard her say. He looked over his shoulder to check on the others, for how well he could from this distance.
He saw a girl he vaguely remembered calling out for emery as she got up. Slowly everyone but andrei started to wake up.
Chris sighed seeing none of their fellow club members and friends had died or so it seemed. He still felt horrible about amanda and felt he was shaking a little. "Chris are you alright ?" Tara asked. “ yes” he answered immediately. he didn't know why he was this fast with his reply. maybe the panic and stress. “ im well enough” he added. "Do you know what happened ? Are they alright ?" Chris shook his head. “ I don’t know” he said softly still looking at the other members who slowly started to wake up. "Thank god" he heard tara whisper.
He looked at the others trying to see if they were all safe as he suddenly heard tara’s cries. He turned to her as she hugged him and cried in his shoulder. "Amanda, Amanda, Amanda, Amanda" she repeated. Chris went pale. so.. the person they had seen.. was amanda. He was shocked. amanda was often a bit nervous but .. he had never thought she was in such a dark place. It made him feel bad that nobody had noticed that. He held tara close to him and tried to calm her down. “ I’m.. so sorry” he mumbled as he held her close trying to make her feel a bit more safe. What could he say really. He couldn't just tell her everything would be okay. someone had killed herself.. there was no turning back..!
Holding tara close to him in a desperate attempt to comfort her he looked up. A girl was banging against the glass as she tried to get out. “D-Don't go out there..!” he warned in a scared voice. He .. he wanted to spare the girl seeing the body of amanda. Then again.. was there even another way out..? He looked over to see naya and another red haired girl he had seen around alexander. “i-is everyone okay over there..?” he asked as he held tara close. He gently stroked her hair letting her cry in his shoulder. He was .. pretty overwhelmed and emotional himself but he wanted to be there for the others. “p-please watch your step..! We don't know how well the floor can hold us.. or how well the ceiling can hold the second floor..!” he warned. He couldn't really make out what they were talking about. Mostly because of the rambling panicked voice in his head. They had to get out. “t-tara.. i-im so sorry.. b-but we need to get out.. we aren't safe here..” he said softly his voice shaking.

“ I’m.. so sorry” she heard Chris vaguely said when he held her closer and stroked her hair.
But she didn't really hear him. Her mind was invaded with the same thought coming over and over "Amanda, no. It's my fault, I shouldn't have let her go alone, I should have search for her, what happened ? did she kill herself ? It's my fault. It's my fault."
"It's my fault if she's dead" she sobbed into Chris shoulder. She couldn't stop crying, it was above her strength . “Hey! Now’s not the time to get hysterical! Naya, I want you to listen to me. We’re going to find a way out and we’re going to get help, but we can’t do that if everyone is going to start cradling themselves in a puddle of tears. Ok?” She heard a girl's voice she didn't recognize, said this to apparently Naya. It gave a sort of electric shock to Tara. The girl was right.
Amanda was dead. She had to accept it as her new reality. And crying wouldn't make her come back, it would just make things worse, if she didn't calm herself fast, she would just become a weight for the others trapped with her. And it was the last thing she wanted. They will leave this place, find the others, hopefully alive -she didn't want to imagine any others death-and leave this freacking school, and everyone needed to be calm. She refused to be weak, she could do this.
“t-tara.. i-im so sorry.. b-but we need to get out.. we aren't safe here..” Chris said softly his voice shaking.
She felt really guilty to have to make his friend endured her crying, when he was just as panicked as her. She tried to control her breath, inspired, dried her tears, and slowly broke away from Chris.
"Sorry for that Chris" she said guiltly "I'm calm now. You're right we need to get out but some are still unconscious apparently." She answered. Amanda's lifeless body still didn't want to leave her mind, but now she could think about it without breaking into tears even if she wanted to.
Tara took a look at her surrondings but everything was still blurred. Without her glasses it would be very difficult. Normally she had an other pair in her handbag and lentils for some plays, but the handbag wasn't near her.
"I will really be a weight if I can't see a shit" she thought darkly but tried to not desperate.
She saw that three others person had woken up when she was crying. One of them she was certain was Misha with her copper hair. But she couldn't see any specifics signs with her bad eyesight who could make her recognize the other two. But apparently one of them was Naya, if she heard correctly before.
But then she realised "Why are Misha and Naya in the entrance hall ?" she wondered.
Tara was certain to have seen Naya in the auditorium and she had bumped into Misha when the red head entered the room. So why did they were here ? Did they came in the entrance hall too and she didn't recall ? She just remembered being alone with Chris until Philip and Tristan showed up.
"Oh shit Philip and Tristan. Are they here too ?" she thought horrified.
The other person standing was definitly a girl. She looked at the three persons still unconscious. It seemed to be a girl and two boys. Were the two boys Tristan and Philip ? One of the boy was dark skinned, so he couldn't be one of them. If the other man was Philip or Tristan the other brother was missing.
"Shit, shit shit" was the only thing she thought.
"Is there anyone that can’t walk?" She heard Misha's voice said.
Tara tried to get up and walk a little. She was feeling weak but she succeed.
"It's okay for me" she answered to the girl.
"Can you walk too ?" she asked Chris next to her "I will help you if you can't" she tried a weak smile to her friend.
"So… what’s your name, anyway?" she heard Misha ask one of the other girls "I’m Misha and… I’m kind of new. I don’t really know everyone’s names yet." She turned then towards Chris and her.
"Oh she doesn't know our names"
"I'm Tara and next to me is my friend Chris" she answered for her and her friend, with a little smile to Misha. Normally she would have felt unconfortable with the prankster but now Misha's pranks were her latest worry. They were all together in this and they will need to cooperate if they wanted to get out of here.
"Alive" she thought darkly. Thinking again of Amanda, but tried to forgot her.
"And, hum, I'm really sorry guys but my glasses are broken and I don't know where is my handbag with the other pair, so I can barely see my surroundings. Could you all tell me who you are, that I can better visualize with who I'm talking ?" She asked then feeling ashamed of her handicap.
"And can one of you could tell me if one of the boys here are Philip or Tristan ? They were with Chris and I in the entrance hall when.." she stopped a little she couldn't find words to describe the situation. "everything happened".
She also wanted to ask why Naya, Misha and the others were here, but it was definitly not the moment. It was not important.
"And Chris is right, it's not safe to rest here. We should wake the others and find a way to go." She finally said. "Can we leave by the door or one of the windows, or is it too dangerous or blocked ?" She asked.

Misha awkwardly wrapped an arm around Naya, a small act of comfort that Naya was thankful for. Her ears were ringing; all she could see was Ellie on the floor, dead. And now potentially Emery and Alex, her two closest friends in the world, had met the same fate. She couldn't bear to think of their bodies, broken and lifeless.
A voice cut through the ringing, and she felt someone grabbing her hand, "Hey! Now’s not the time to get hysterical! Naya, I want you to listen to me. We’re going to find a way out and we’re going to get help, but we can’t do that if everyone is going to start cradling themselves in a puddle of tears. Ok?"
It was Peyton. Naya blinked at the girl, her vision still a little blurry from her tears and a sob caught in her throat. Of course. Yes, of course. She couldn't sit there crying about it, Peyton was right, and probably just as distressed as she was about her missing friends. She needed to be productive, so they could find a way out of there and find their friends. So she could go home and hug her family tight.
Misha was suddenly snapping at Peyton, pulling Naya out of her thoughts, "Do you think screaming at everybody is going to help us, or what’s the idea? I get you want out, believe me I do too, but this attitude isn’t going to help more than crying." Naya breathed in sharply. Now was not the time to be fighting or crying, that she was sure of, yet she didn't know what to do when they were confronting each other right in front of her.
"Okay, hm… clearly we’re all nervous right now. And we don’t know where the others are. And hm… if they’re fine. But… “she” is right, we’re not gonna get anywhere if we start collapsing now so… try to calm down and focus on finding a way out, okay? It’ll be easier to find Emery and Alex if we can all get out in one piece," Misha continued, and Naya nodded rapidly.
"Yes, yes... Sorry," she wiped her eyes as Misha helped her up, not really caring if her makeup was a little smudged. Getting out of here alive was the priority. She composed herself as quickly as possible, she was an actress after all, and she could act like she had a grip on things, at least until she knew they and their missing friends were safe, "We need to sort this out..."
Misha threw out a few suggestions, before asking people's names. Well, she knows mine, Naya thought, but decided to introduce herself to anyone she didn't really know.
"I'm Naya."
"I'm Tara and next to me is my friend Chris," Tara said, explaining that she couldn't see without her glasses and so had little idea of where she was and who she was talking to.
"I think..." Naya looked around. The room looked familiar, but not like she remembered. The walls were irradiated, the light bulbs blown, like something out of a horror movie, "I think we're in the entrance hall, or some creepy version of it, anyway," she sniffed.
She then took a closer look at the two boys unconscious on the ground, "It's Naveen and... Andrei I think it is? Andrei the janitor?" She wondered how Andrei could have joined them, and how Chris and Tara had, for that matter. They'd all left the auditorium, after all, and were nowhere near any of the other people in that room, "Were Philip and Tristan with you when the earthquake happened?"
She paused for a moment, before asking cautiously, hoping she wasn't asking totally the wrong thing, "Did... did anything happen out here before we all got knocked out? Because... well..." She took another deep breath, "Ellie's dead."

Peyton began to calm done as she saw Naya gathered herself and stopped crying. Her calm status was soon broken as Misha snapped at her once more.
"Do you think screaming at everybody is going to help us, or what’s the idea? I get you want out, believe me I do too, but this attitude isn’t going to help more than crying.” Misha said.
“I’m glad you think that way, but sentimental isn’t an emotion I can afford right now,” Peyton responded. Not with the person I care about the most is missing. Peyton looked over at Misha again. She seemed to be more calm now.
"Okay, hm… clearly we’re all nervous right now. And we don’t know where the others are. And hm… if they’re fine. But… 'she' is right,” Misha gestured towards Peyton, "we’re not gonna get anywhere if we start collapsing now so… try to calm down and focus on finding a way out, okay? It’ll be easier to find Emery and Alex if we can all get out in one piece.”
Peyton started to mentally freak out again. Both Alex and Emery are missing. She does hope that they’re together though. If she trusts anyone to keep Emery safe, it’s certainly her brother. He may be a jokester, but she knows that he’s the one that got Emery up off her feet after the fatal crash. Not even Peyton could do that. She’s certainly indebted to him. She needed to find them. She needed to find Emery. She can’t live in a status where she doesn’t know what’s happened to her. All Peyton needs is a small conformation. That Emery is ok and safe. Peyton shook her head. She said it herself. She can’t afford sentimentality or an emotional breakdown. This would seem like the perfect time and place to break her, but it’s going to take a lot more than a locked room and an earthquake to scare her. Peyton’s unsure and nervous, but she knew the best way to get out of this is to maintain confidence. Even if that means having everyone believing you’re an asshole.
Misha and Naya got up on their feet, wobbling a little bit. Peyton followed Misha’s eyes as she looked around the room.
“If we can’t break the glass, maybe there’s something we can throw at it?” she suggested, “Or something we cab use to climb our way down…or our up."
“I don’t see anything that would be a strong enough impact to throw at it, nor something to climb,” Peyton replied, “And…considering how many times I hit it, the glass should have at least dented. But…it’s like it’s suddenly made out of steel.”
Peyton saw Kairi on the floor and attempted to shake her awake, but it was of no use. She was still out of it. Misha had gone around checking on the other people. Apparently the three people she didn’t recognize were named Tara, Chris, and Naveen. Naveen was still passed out on the floor, but the other two were wide awake and seemed pretty shaken up. Before she could make her way towards them, she heard Misha say something to her.
“So…what’s your name, anyway?” she asked, “I’m Misha and…I’m kind of new. I don’t really know everyone’s names yet.”
Peyton smirked a little. “It’s Peyton. I know who are Misha, I see you with Alex all the time,” she stopped herself, “I know you’re probably worried about him. Look I’m not blind to what people think of me. I get it all the time. To some I’m shy, to others I’m an ass. You probably think I’m the ladder. My point is…I have no hard feelings against you, Misha. I’m not even mad about the stupid squabble from earlier. We just need to keep our heads, and find a way out. Which means we need to stick together. Ok?” Peyton gave a somewhat friendly smile. She turned her attention to Tara, who started to speak.
“I'm really sorry guys but my glasses are broken and I don't know where is my handbag with the other pair, so I can barely see my surroundings. Could you all tell me who you are, that I can better visualize with who I'm talking?” the redhead said shyly.
Peyton walked up to her and lifted her chin up to observe her eyes. She wasn’t a paramedic by any means, but she does have some knowledge in biological field due to her…experiences.
“I’m Peyton. Are you near sighted or far sighted?” She asked. She flashed Tara’s eyes to see the pupils dilate. She put her light down. “Tara, I want you to find a buddy. Someone you trust. Stick with them the entire way and don’t wander off. There are black holes everywhere, and I wouldn’t want you falling into them.”
Peyton walked away as Naya introduced herself and began to speak to the others. She looked around the room to see if she could find anything, her flashlight dimly lighting every corner. Peyton stopped in her tracks as her peripheral vision caught a glimpse of a twinkle from her light source.
[Peyton made a perception check]

Dice result: 1D10 => 1 Absolute failure; -1 health point.
Payton couldn't distinguish what she saw in the dark and got caught off guard by a faint sound of somebody's breathing right into her ear. With her next moment, she felt a thick sewing needle stung through the shoe sole right into her foot, and the girl fell face first to the hard floor underneath her.
When she finally was able to get back on her feet - whatever was there in that corner - was gone.

Whatcha gonna do?

Post by Misha Charisse Quinn on Jul 12, 2018 8:28:30 GMT
“I’m glad you think that way, but sentimental isn’t an emotion I can afford right now.”In which part did I condone being sentimental? I just said neither would help. Misha rolled her eyes. She wasn’t listening to her at all was she? So the two strangers on the floor were named Tara and Chris, and the last boy was Naveen. The sobbing had stopped after a while of Chris trying to comfort Tara, as she said something about someone being dead because of her, which made Misha wonder. Did she mean the girl they’d seen get smashed in the auditorium? Had she even seen that? Because this wasn’t anyone’s fault… but maybe the nerves were just getting to her. At least both of them could walk fine, as long as Tara could use him to guide herself. “I know who you are Misha.”
– That sounds vaguely threatening. – she joked, barely. As long as she didn’t know where she lived, she could deal with that. Yet, she had to turn a curious eye towards the girl who introduced herself as Peyton, who was apparently trying to empathize with her missing Alex… on a level. And that just made her wonder what their relationship was. She was Emery’s friend, at the very least that she knew, but as for him… – How well do you know Alex, anyway? – And now she seemed to want to make peace. She carefully raised an eyebrow as she weighed her words; she seemed genuine enough, despite her prior harshness. Maybe being in a drastic situation had made her reconsider her priorities; not that Misha shouldn’t as well. – … sure. That seems fair. – she agreed, still eyeing her. – No hard feelings.
Hopefully that would stay true. "I think we're in the entrance hall, or some creepy version of it, anyway."Wait… what? Misha looked around suddenly confused. She knew she’d fallen from one floor to another, and from that she’d somewhat guessed her location, but… now she found herself trying to check as much of the room as she could. Naya was right. They WERE in the entrance hall. Except…
– If we fell from the auditorium… – she looked up towards the holes in the ceiling – … how did we end up here? This is on the opposite side of the building. We should… we should be in the cafeteria right now. They weren’t at all where they should have landed. And people that weren’t in the auditorium were now with them, while some that were, weren’t. Misha felt her pulse quicken. This wasn’t normal. This wasn’t normal at all. – Did someone move us here? – she hated the edge of panic she could feel in her own voice when she’d just said herself they all needed to calm down. But this… this was just weird. Who would carry a bunch of injured and unconscious teenagers from one room of a fallen building to another and just… leave them there? – Maybe… someone found us and carried us here because it was safer?
But then where was everyone else? Was their mysterious savior currently dragging more injured people here? Or… where they the only survivors, and hence the only ones worth getting out? It was her respiration’s turn to turn faster and faster. She needed to find Alex right now. Looking in every direction, Misha spotted the way to the plaza, which seemed free. If someone had carried them here, they had to go through there. All the other paths seemed impracticable, if Peyton’s efforts said anything. Silently, she moved in that direction, in the hope of possibly seeing or hearing of any other survivor outside, as her thoughts kept rushing: had other survivors carried them here themselves, and left them to investigate a way out? No, they would have left someone to keep an eye on the unconscious ones, right? A loud noise behind her made Misha’s heart jump, and she quickly turned over, almost too quickly, as she had to be careful not to fall. With one foot out the door and her back turned to the darkness behind her, her heart in her throat, she faced the sight of Peyton now face-planted on the floor. What the hell?
– … are you alright? – Did she just trip or something?

“How well do you know Alex anyways?” Peyton heard Misha ask.
“I’m not as close to him as you are, but I know him well enough. Mostly through Emery…she’s the only person I really care about in this world...” Peyton lost grip on her words. No, she can’t break down now. Not here! Not in front of all these people she barely knew. She needed to take her own advice and keep her head. Stay in control.
Peyton searched the room with her flashlight, her eye catching a glimpse of something in the corner. Misha was speaking behind her, still questioning their situation. But Peyton couldn’t ask questions right now, especially if she knew no one had the answers. It was wasting precious time, and she wasn’t about to be stuck in this damn hall all night long. Peyton walked over towards the object to investigate further, but she was soon distracted by a sharp pain that shot through the bottom of her foot. She face planted on the floor and cried out in pain. She clutched the heel of her foot and looked down to see what she stepped on. Oh how wonderful, it was a fucking sewing needle. What the hell was it doing in the entrance hall?
Peyton took off her shoe, and flashed her light at her wound. It was deep from what she should tell, but it wasn’t the worst. Nothing that required her to go to the emergency room. Wouldn’t be the first time she got stabbed by something. Peyton pulled her yellow sweater from her torso and untied the bow around her neck, leaving only her blue, collared shirt. She ripped off apart of the sweater and wrapped it around her foot injury to stop the bleeding. Peyton rolled up her sleeves, as it was easier to maneuver, and wrapped her partially ripped sweater around her waist. She then carefully put her shoe back on and stretched out her spine. Her eyes moved downward as she saw Kairi still laying unconscious on the floor. But something was different with her. She didn’t look the same as Naveen and Andrei, who were also passed out. It took Peyton a moment to realize that unlike the other two, Kairi’s chest wasn’t moving. In a small panic, she decided to take Kairi’s pulse…but there wasn’t one. The raven haired girl was dead.
Peyton’s pupils contracted in the realization of her faithful student’s death. Oh god…oh my god. She remembered them all standing there, Kairi being the only other person to know her secret. She knew how much Emery cared about her. What will she say to her? This has all become too much. Two people dead in one day. Peyton’s head started racing. She started to panic. She was so confused. Why why why? Why is this happening?!
“Are you alright?”
Her head shot up and turned towards the origin of the voice. It was Misha, who probably saw her fall from a few moments ago.
Peyton sighed. “I’ve had worse.” Unbeknownst to her in the dark, most of Peyton’s bruises and scars were exposed due to her rolled up sleeves and slightly unbuttoned shirt. She winced as she got on her feet, slightly limping. Peyton quickly remembered how she had originally spotted something in her vicinity, but her light engulfed the room once more, it seemed to have been never there in the first place. Great, so I stabbed my foot for nothing. She pressed herself against a wall and slowly lifted her head to where she peered into Misha’s amber eyes. There was no point in hiding it. “Um…Kairi didn’t make the fall."
